This question you have ignored:

17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. (1 Cor. 12)

and

4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. (Romans 12)

What is so un-Scriptural about the claim that Jews and Gentiles have different functions in the body of Christ?

;)

Do you not know that "standing" and "function" are two different things?

Because as Paul stated: "What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God." (Romans 3:1,2)

To them were comitten the oracles of God. Paul speaks of this as a now, not a has been. For if it had been taken from them, how could Paul say there is much advantage to being a Jew. If they no longer hold the charge of the oracles of God, what advantage is there to being a Jew.

It makes absolutely no sense!

Isaiah 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Put back in its context though, God was talking about the digust the sacrifices brought Him because at the time Isaiah wrote this, Israel was practicing pagan religions side by side with the sacrifices. As result the sacrifices were not pleasing. Had God not taken pleasure in the sacrifices, if they were offensive to Him in principle, He would not have commanded them to be offered in the first place.

To understand what Isaiah was talking about, you need to read Ezekiel Chapter 8. It explains why God allowed Judah to be taken by the Babylonians. They had through their paganism descrecated the Temple. They had incorporated the worship of the sun according to Ezekiel, along with the sacrifices.

The other two passages offer no contradiction to the issue of Ezekiel's Temple. You are, as always just ignoring context and proper hermeneutic principles to advance a faulty perspective.

You ignored these verses I notice. These New Testament verses illustrate the type of sacrifice God desires.

Hebrews 13

15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

1 Pet 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I did not ignore them. If you read my last response I simply noted that they are not material the conversation.

But I will comment on them if you like. Hebrew 13 uses the term "sacrifice of praise" which hearkens back to the peace offerings, also called a "friendship offering." The act of praising God with one's lips was acknowledged even in OT times. You seem want to place them at odds as if both cannot exist together. Please note what it says in Psalms:

Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.

(Psalms 51:15)

Notice what else God considers an acceptable sacrifice:

The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. God, You will not despise a broken and humbled heart. In Your good pleasure, cause Zion to prosper; build the walls of Jerusalem. Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.

(Psalms 51:17-19)

Sacrifices were entirely pleasing to the Lord as long as they were offered properly and with the proper heart "attitude" if you will. Even in OT the concept of a sacrifice of praise from one's lips were not seen as precluding the actually "praise offering" offered at the Temple. Therefore, it would not be a problem in Ezekiel's Temple.

Now 2 Pet 2:5 is again, not in contradiction to the Temple of Ezekiel. As a spiritual house we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices, but that does not preclude the existence of literal sacrifices in Ezekiel's Temple. The sacrifices in Ezekiel's Temple offer no expiation where sin is concerned, and therefore there is no contradiction between the spiritual sacrifices of the believer, and the literal sacrifices that occur in that time.

You are trying make the sacrifices appear repugnant to the Lord, but the ONLY sacrifices He hates are those offered up with a false heart and it doesn't matter if they are spiritual or physical God hates both.

The verse you presented in Isaiah could easily apply to Christians today. Christians who live in sin during the week and then go to church on Sunday and sing praise songs are just as repugnant to God as the Israelites who were engaging in sun worship in addition to offering the prescribed sacrifices at the Temple.

Honestly, I don't want to go around in circles! :24: So this will probably be my last post on this subject -- honestly I live in Israel -- rockets landing everywhere -- this is really the least of my concerns -- and this really tiring to go around in circles! :24:

For the last time, and for the record! :24: I do not believe the Levitical priesthood will be ressurrected, nor do I believe the Mosaic covenant will be reinstituted! -- If you didn't understand that -- re-read what I just said, because I won't say it again and I honestly don't want words placed in my posts saying that I believe such a thing! Nor does anyone else involved in the ministry believe such a thing so in the spirit of a honest debate -- please refrain from placing words in other people's mouths -- it's quite annoying. :24:

What I do believe is that a PHYSICAL temple will be rebuilt by Jesus himself! (Zechariah 6:12-13) The temple that is being planned now is not the temple of Ezekiel -- it's the temple of the AntiChrist, so I do not "support" building this "new" temple -- especially because the Word emphatically says that Jesus will rebuild this temple -- not once but twice in Zechariah 6!

Now while we as believers are building the Spiritual temple of God unto Him and He being the chief cornerstone, the dimensions and the exact description of the Temple described by God in Ezekiel 40-48 is so detailed to every detail that any honest reading of these verses indicate it's a literal building in the future. Am I saying that the spiritual Temple of God isn't being built? NO! It's being built as believers are added to the Kingdom -- but this Spiritual building does not negate the fact that the Physical building will be built by Jesus himself sometime in the future!

Will it follow the Torah as we know it? No, it will be the LAW of the HOUSE - or in Hebrew -- the Torah Ha'Beit - the Law of the House - so it's a different set of laws and ordiances of which we dont' fully understand yet!

As to the sacrifices during this time, it is for the multitude of peoples that survive the tribulation period that never got their resurrected bodies! It is this host of people whom believers will be ruling over during the Millenial Reign. They still have SIN natures and thus the TEMPORAL sacrifices will be offered up looking back towards the ETERNAL sacrifice that was provided by Jesus 2000 years ago! The key is in the word ALTAR in Ezekiel -- it's called the Ha Ari-El -- the Lion of God! It's not a lamb offering -- showing atonement -- but rather a sacrifice of victory -- that was provided 2000 years ago.

Does this mean that I believe that Jesus atonement wasn't good enough? Absolutely NOT! His sacrifice 2000 years ago paid for ALL sins eternally! But just as Hebrews describes all the sacrifices of goats and bullocks were looking TOWARD the CROSS, the sacrifices in Ezekiel (and Isaiah) during the Millenial Reign are looking BACK to the CROSS as a memorial so that we are always reminded for 1000 years of the greatness of the Eternal Atonement provided 2000 years ago. :24:

So in the spirit of honest discussions, it would be greatly appreciated if words were not placed in my mouth. :24: Honestly, we're all family and I don't mind great discussions especially about the greatest book in the entire world -- but it does become monotonous to go around in an endless circles. So for that reason, I'll bow out and if you can't understand where I'm coming from -- it's no skin off my back -- I'll just continue to love you as brothers and sisters!

The reality is that we'll all agree soon enough when Jesus comes again! :24: So if you can't understand -- no biggy -- we'll just agree to disagree and we'll find out soon enough!

May God bless us all as we continue to strive to study His Word -- but more importantly May God bless us as a family bonded in His Love for us!

Your brother in the Lord with much agape love,

George

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
