Being one in Christ does not mean all distinctives are lost. Unity is not the absence of diversity. Paul says that we are one in Christ. He does not say we are the same in Christ. Unfortunately, when we say the Jew and Gentile are one in Christ, it is often interpreted to mean that Jews must live according to Gentile pattern. Which Gentile pattern, though? There are different kinds of Gentile believers and all of them has cultural and ethnic distinctives. Many Gentile believers of different races are allowed to hold to their cultural distinctions. This is true whether they be Native American, African, East Asian, Hispanic, and so on. The only people who are not allowed to maintain their cultural identity AFTER coming to Christ are the Jews. The Jews are expected to give up anything that looks Jewish. A similar demand is made of no other ethnicity within the body of Christ.

And this is the crux, is it not?

I believe the point of contention is this: Why would God reinstitute the Mosaic Law system once again -- if Jesus was the final sacrifice?

The problem is that God is not reinstituting the Mosaic law! I did an entire thread on the Ezekiel Temple and the very first post contains this statement --

First of all, you have to remember when Christ returns it will not be a return to the Mosaic covenant -- or to the laws of Moses, so the sacrifical ordinances of the Torah do not apply in this age.

Perhaps reading the entire thread will enlighten those who have misunderstood what I believe will come to pass.

Please feel free to read the entire thread on this issue. Ezekiel 40-48

Your brother in Christ with much agape love,

George

One must not confuse the millennium with the New Heavens and New Earth. The New Heavens and New Earth are mentioned starting with Reveleation 21. The New Heavens and New Earth comes after the Millennium. It is characterized by an earth whose topography has is significantly different that the current one, in that there are not oceans. Also there is no sun or moon. Time as we understand it does not exist in this recreated Earth and Heaven. This is when the New Jerusalem will descend out of Heaven and will descend upon the New Earth, and God Himself will the Temple.

Ezekiel's Temple exists in the 1000 years prior, when Christ will rule the current earth from Jerusalem.

Thanks, Shiloh.

The Mosaic system was not nailed to the cross and it never needed to be. The New Testament does not teach such a thing.

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (Colossians 2:13-14)

Of course 2000 years of Christian orthodoxy and scholarship teaches the exact opposite of what it claimed above. Paul is affirming that the

Horizon -

Are you claiming that the Mellenial reign of Christ began after His resurrection?

Rev. 20:6 - Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

If so - shouldn't it have ended 1000 years ago?

It is not written in metphorical or figurative language no matter what a "scholar" says. Fortuntely, I can read the Bible for myself and do not have rely on a scholar just becaue I am too lazy to do my own exegesis. There is no exegesis that can provide any figurative or metaphorical references from this passage. Just like the rest of Ezekiel 40 - 48, the verbiage defies a non-literal interpretation.

The fact remains as I said earlier that to claim that this, "handwriting contained in ordinances which was against us," is the law of Moses, is nothing but assumption. It is assumed to be so because of the knee-jerk anti-law mentality of much of the "Orthodox" Church. It maintains an anti-law stigma that the Bible simply does not support.

The Bible by the authority of Jesus Christ plainly teaches the Mosaic System was done away with when Jesus was nailed to the cross. You can

I was just reminded of a joke I heard.

To the tune of "On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand," beginning of verse.

My hope is built on nothing less

Than Scofield's notes and Scripture press

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
