I am thinking that Horizoneast is an "ammillenialist." I don't know if that has anything to do with his reluctance to answer my questions.

Are you an amillennialist, Horizon?? I don't need to define it. Just answer the question, no need for evasive answers like "I am a Christian." It is a simple enough question. There are several positions out there. Preterist, Amillennialist, Covenant Amillennialist, Postmillennialist, Covenant Premillennialist. You can pick one and tell us where you fit. It would help to know this, so we can see where you are coming from.

The answer is "no" to all of the above brother. The terms you list are all man-made terms and mean many things to many people - they are not at all biblical terms but they are all divisive to the body of Christ (not good). I am familiar with each term and have found both truth and error in each one (limited of course by my understand of each term) I prefer to rely on scripture only whenever possible.

That's funny, cause all you offer are man-made answers from commentaires and such when asked for Scriptural support.

Horizoneast -

I would still like to hear your explanation of Zechariah 12, paritcularly the highlighted portion.

It appears that they come to faith in Yeshua after He saves them in Jerusalem from attack by the surrounding nations, not the other way around.

*****

1 The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. 4 In that day," says the Lord, "I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in the Lord of hosts, their God.' 6 In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a firepan in the woodpile, and like a fiery torch in the sheaves; they shall devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left, but Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place--Jerusalem. 7 "The Lord will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become greater than that of Judah. 8 In that day the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; the one who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of the Lord before them.

9 It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. 11 In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.* 12 And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves

Heres the original post/question.

This has not happened yet in its entirety, if we are honest Israel has not been delivered from those that hate her, and Israel as a secular nation is not serving the Lord in holiness and righteousness. This will happen in the future and according to the Holy Spirit it will be done in accordance to the mercy promised to their fathers (through the prophets) and the covenant sworn to Abraham. This is not a spiritual prophecy. It is prophecy of a physical deliverance, and a physical reign by the Messiah. Coupled with the words of the Angel (who was speaking the words of God) we see that they are referring to the same thing.

By His resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ now (today) reigns on David

So when are you going to Nebula's Question, Horizon?

As soon as you provide all of the promised NT "corroborative texts" you claimed to have but can't seem to locate. Remember Shiloh this is your thread

Well I guess since your board name is of Hebrew origin and your signature phrase plays into kabbalistic lore (libation ritual)
What? kabbalistic? The phrase means "I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine." That is biblical.

I apologize if I have misrepresented your views but I am at the disadvantage

I did not say all, but most, and I can provide the evidence. Secondly I am not judging them. Their own words condemn them

How many of them were Jew-hating reprobates

The fact is, much of what is written about Israel in Orthodox Chrisian writings is based upon a hold over from the early Church's contempt for the Jews, and the assumption made by the "Fathers" that Israel had been judged by God in 70 AD. This amounts to reading the Bible into an historical event.

Orthodox Christianity has rejected the Jews as a nation and has relegated Israel to the dustbin of history never to be heard from again. This is based upon assumptions and conjecture and not based upon any clear statement from the Bible to that effect.

The Bible says that Israel will NEVER cease being God's nation (Jer. 31:35-36). The Bible says that God's covenant with Abraham is an eternal covenant, and that his covenant with David is likewise as eternal and unbreakable. The Church has sought every means to allegorize the Israel out of the prophetic plans of God, but it simply does not work.

It is clear from the Scriptures that God has an end time plan for Israel, and it is going to be glorious.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
