Ok....seriously now....I hear of so many Christians say that all you need to understand the Bible is the Bible and th Spirit. Then they come with such out-landish things like...the Scriptures are not innerant...they are repleat with error...and the like.

Someone told me that they studied the Bible for a long time and all they used was the Bible and the Spirit to guide him. I fear for I wonder what spirit was doing the guiding! When we lay aside all the people who have given their lives to bring us wisdom...and when we "check our minds at the door," we end up with things like the prosperity theory...and the belief that the church controls God instead of God controling the church.

It is scarey, brother....and this is what gives me the chills to think about...."there I go with the flesh again."

Heres just some interesting trivia about the brain. We have twelve like information highways that send info from our brain to the rest of our body to it's functions. I can't really remember the names of these but I found it to be interesting since we have twleve patriachs, twelve apostles bringing us the teachings of God and our own system is made up of twelve paths to feed us the info we need to hear, speak, walk, eat etc.

My rant is aimed at those who feel that using the mind to reason is somehow "worldly" or "carnal." There are those in Christendom who want to feel their way through spirituality. I feel that God wants us to love Him with all our minds, soul and spirit. You can't seperate one from the others.
