The atheist or nonbeliever do not understand the existance of God because they do not have "faith".

It is only through faith that God reveals Himself to us.

Faith is why we know He exists.

Our walk is one of faith. It is our faith that delivers us from the hands of the devil. It is our faith that opened our eyes to the One true God.

It's all about faith.

Trying to prove something does not exist is essentially impossible.

For instance, I could say that there is a teapot orbiting the sun. How would we disprove that?

No matter how long we would search with telescopes, there could always be places the teapot would be.

The difference about your 'teapot obiting the sun', is that you just made it up and your theory would be shot down in seconds after a few probing questions. You would either be given medication or given a wide berth for future claims, and your credibilty would be zero.

Just because G-d is invisible etc does not mean He has left us with no means of contact, to stumble blindly in the dark, and when many people have looked for Him with all their hearts...they have found Him....hence rebirth through the Holy Ghost ...and a sudden new awakening and awareness that we are more than flesh and blood.

Really. Shut me down. Do it. Disprove the teapot.

Ok...lets try a few questions:-

1. How did you actually see this teapot?

2. How do you know it really is a teapot?

3. Who else saw your teapot and corroborates your findings?

4. Is there a history of teapots in orbit in outer space?

5. What does the realization of this teapot do for you?

6. What benefit will I derive from knowing about it?

7. Have you ever smoked weed or been addicted to hallucinogenic drugs?

You are so right! God sure does see to it that we know Him, doesn't He? :24:

Luke 19:37-40 says:

As they reached the place where the road started down from the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

"Bless the King who comes in the name of the Lord!

Peace in heaven and glory in highest heaven!"

But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, "Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!"

He replied, "If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!"

Even the rocks will cry out if we do not! Even all nature knows Him!

Hi Floatingaxe,

Can I make a comment on the scripture you have at the bottom of your posts....Proverbs 11:22.

The issue here is not so much a beautiful face and an empty head. The correct context is in reference to a woman who concentrates her efforts on outer beauty whilst having a heart that is Not right with God.

"Like a gold ring through a pigs snout is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion." This is simply in reference to being absolutely certain that no amount of make-up, jewellery or beautifully braided hair, will ever cover over a heart that is not right with God. Hence Pauls teachings not to demonstrate your beauty only on the OUTside, but always let it come from a godly heart...

I think its important to keep scripture in correct context..Im sure you agree...There are some very subtle mistranslations creeping into the word of God. For all of our benefits as believers it is vital that we know without doubt whether the scripture is referring to male and female..God has his point in doing this.

Not a criticism...Far from it....Just a little note to be aware of..The enemies plans are subtle...We already know he likes to twist scripture...

Regards,

Ben.

pointless, this topics going nowhere. he wont learn anything, and neither will anyone else. Is this not foolishness? The definition of addiction is repeating the same thing and expecting different results. Frustrations come when things that once worked for us no longer work.

Tell me what I am going to learn from you atheist. since you are trying to teach someone I will learn from you. Teach me and show me the errors of my ways. Help me understand everything that is so confusing. Im reaching out to you ready and willing to learn.

AAA,

Your teachers do not believe in God, therefore neither do you. You have chosen godless, philosophical men to be your teachers, thus you are the fruit of your teachings.

Our teacher is GOD. Not because we chose HIM, but because HE chose US..Everyday, though we have been justified by the blood of Jesus, we are still still walking on the road from Justification TO Glorification. We are growing in the knowledge of God because we have God as our teacher..Thus we will eventually become the fruits of OUR teacher....

Until that time, we have been commanded to Proclaim Christ. If we had to wait until we were perfect before we could tell you about him, then you would never hear the message at all. The value is in the message AAA...Not the messenger. The value is in the SEED, not the sower. I'll say it once more:

Take your eyes OFF the messenger and look to the message. Stop trampling the pearls and pick one up and look at it. Youre so busy looking at everyone else that you have no sight set on YOUR OWN soul. It is YOUR soul that needs to be right with God. Right now it is NOT. No one elses shortfalls will excuse yours. We are all individually accountable to God. We all must have have our own faith relationship with God. No one can surivive off someone elses relationship with God.

I will repeat the words of Jesus for your benefit....."Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand." "Unless a man is born again he shall not see the kingdom of God."

Anything that is merely opinion AAA is equal to LESS than Truth. I know we both agree with ONE thing here...What IS important is Truth. If as Jesus claimed, he IS the Truth, then you had better start listening to what he had to say. You will find these words all over the place on Worthy Boards.

I hope you choose the narrow and hard path AAA and not the broad and easy path. "For narrow and hard is the path to the kingdom and few shall find it. But broad and easy is the road that leads to destruction and many will find it."

Its not easy being a Believer and follower of Christ AAA....But "he whom the son sets free, is free indeed." Free from the penalty of sin, free from the wrath of God, free from condemnation.....

Regards,

Ben.

The urden of proof lies upon the person making the claim of the existence of an entity. The person who doubts something exists does not have to prove that it does not exist. Rather, the person claiming it does exist has to.

Wikipedia article.

At least, we're talking about real debating, and not persnickety "I'm right and you're wrong nah nah" debates.

Ok...lets try a few questions:-

1. How did you actually see this teapot?

I haven't. But that's not disproving it. After all, I've never seen a .50 caliber machine gun, either.

2. How do you know it really is a teapot?

I don't. Read above. The guns in the movies, after all, COULD be computer-animated.

3. Who else saw your teapot and corroborates your findings?

It's a popular theory among people in astrophysics.

4. Is there a history of teapots in orbit in outer space?

How do you know there isn't?

5. What does the realization of this teapot do for you?

I'm not sure what this has to do with disproving something.

6. What benefit will I derive from knowing about it?

Again, why does this matter to the truth of the teapot?

7. Have you ever smoked weed or been addicted to hallucinogenic drugs?

Nope, never.

No matter what you say or give as "disproof", I can come up with a silly explanation that is technically possible. It's very, very impossible to logically prove that something does not exist.

But don't you see...by giving me an obviously silly answer..it proves to me your teapot ain't out there...your answer opens up a credibilty gap. I now choose not to believe you because what you offer is unbelievable, and the consequences if I am wrong are completely negligible. Even if the stupid ol' teapot existed I would not benefit from believing your story, and by your words and attitude I have proved to my own satisfaction that it is twaddle.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
