See, if it were me, here's what I'd do. I'd take up clog-dancing. I'd start dancing anytime smoker dude was home and presumably smoking. Not only would this be good exercise, it would potentially annoy him enough to make him move. :mgdetective:

Problem solved!

Hahaha, that totally fits you! When I read the first paragraph at first I thought you were saying you sleep with your keys, wallet and checkbook. I pictured you in your bed, fully clothed, with your wallet in your pocket and keys in your fists sound alseep...lol. Then I re-read it and caught the "near me on the headboard" part. Ha.
Actually, part of that is true. I sleep in sweatpants, a t-shirt and socks, year around. I also have a pair of shoes next to my bed. If the Ol' boy downstairs catches our place on fire with his late night smoking, the place will go up fast!

We have had a number of apartment fires in this city due to irresponsible people who fall asleep with lit ciggarettes, and so it pays to be ready at moment's notice. :mgdetective:

I'm surprised to took an upper story apartment..lol. Do you have an escape ladder too? :25:

It was cheaper, and plus it was in the new section of the complex. I have a really nice view as my complex is very attractively landscaped. One good thing is that in the winter my floor is warm in the morning when I get up due to the guy below running his furnace to keep warm. My electric bill in the winter is NEVER over 20 bucks a month. So that is a plus. Also my view is really cool.

Of course your bill is low and he's keeping you warm, he's heating the building with cigarettes! lolol I hope you're enjoying the view. You'll be climbing out of that window when he sets the apartment building on fire. heh. Just kidding with ya.

 That might work. The walls do have tendency to give away to other people what you are doing particularly if you are having a lot of company, or are training for the olympics, or building a boat... :25:

In a church where I served as a deacon there was a dear old sister who sat in the same seat every sunday and had done for years. Now that probably wasn't a problem, Possibly not a bad habit. But one sunday a new young couple attended this church for the very first time, and you guessed it, they sat in the dear old lady's seat. She went up to them and said excuse me but you are sat in my seat, they walked out of the building and never came back. Sometimes being a creature of habit can be a bad thing.

Do you have certain place that you sleep, a certain seat for watching TV? Do you have a special cup for hot liquids and glass for cold things?

This came up at work and there is a rolling debate going on, that has now gone to, is there a certain way you have to get dressed in the morning? Right sock then left sock, right leg or left leg into pants?

Its pretty much 7 to 1 here at work with a yes to all of the above. The one who has they have no special sleeping spot or seat or cup says the rest of us are weird. How about ya'll???

I always sleep on my right side. I can't sleep on my back or anything, it has to be on my side. I do occassionally sleep on my left side when needs must. I'm not to fussy about where I sit but I tend to sit in a certain way- either I'll curl up or I'll have one leg under me. I have a glass mug that I always have hot chocolate in, other wise I'll use anything.

usually sleep in my bed... dont think would be very proper to sleep in some one elses bed.

have a couple places i like to sit to watch TV, one is the chair that I used all the way through school, the last time it was recovered was in 1968, just before my youngest brother was born, the chair was my grandmothers and then my moms, now it is mine..... and my youngest son loves it, still very comfy....

I only use one cup, if I am getting anything to drink, that is my coffee cup... and will use it for water or anything else... saves on doing dishes...

This came up at work and there is a rolling debate going on, that has now gone to, is there a certain way you have to get dressed in the morning? Right sock then left sock, right leg or left leg into pants?

it does not matter which one i start with, the one that is last is always left....... you see, if i put my left arm in first, then my right arm is left, so it is always the left one that is last....

Its pretty much 7 to 1 here at work with a yes to all of the above. The one who has they have no special sleeping spot or seat or cup says the rest of us are weird. How about ya'll???

naaaaa, everyone is weird cept me.... i am the only normal one there is.....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
