I could really care less about your background,

Wow. nice. thanks.

1. You come here and ask to have discussion on the difference of Catholicism(sp) and Protestantism. You (along with a few others) then proceed to bash, belittle, and harrass anyone that gives contrary opinion to you!

Goes for your above quote brother.

You don't even concider any Scripture references that seem to speak against what you are teaching!!! This does not boad well for you and your insistence of friendly and loving debate!

RIght back atcha!

I know you will reject this...and I pray you don't...but I will not be lookiing at this thread again as this issue will never end.

Seems to me you have said this before....

You would do well to study how to debate properly

Wow! You REALLY need to take your own advice!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

How does that feel?

I USED to be Protestant I KNOW OF WHAT I SPEAK! So it feels just fine thanks! Have you ever been Catholic? I am not stabbing in the dark on issues of Protestanism - I LIVED THEM FOR CLOSE TO TEN YEARS! You don't have a leg to stand on!

He is simply asking for Biblical documentation for what you believe.

Right. I told him I would give him DETAILED responses and HE REFUSED! He DOESN'T WANT TO KNOW AT ALL! Go back and RE-READ friend!

Replies such as this make me think that you don't have any references and are hiding it by (flamming) another poster.

Is flamming the same as flaming? :duh:

SAINT Matthew 5:15

Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house. No one here is home I suppose.

I can really see your attempt at learning what we believe and why we believe it.

I DON'T HAVE TO "LEARN" IT - I LIVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! No thank you.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I am beginning to believe the only cathlolics we can reach are those who have come to the knowledge that their faith is false. It is clear that Angeledei has not come here with that knowledge. Angeledei has come here to covert people to the catholic religion. I cannot see what profit there is in continuing to persevere with one who refuses to hear.

Someone answer me this:

If Catholics don't pray to saints, as they so vehemently deny they do, what was that I just saw?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Religion kills. Christ is life.

Posted
You know I need to ask this: What do you say of those saints and doctors of the Church who lived prior to the Protestant REVOLT? THere was only ONE Christian Church prior to Luther. Is this to be dismissed or covered up like it never was?

Not true!

There was the ORIGINAL church of Jerusalem known as the "Nazerites" or "Followers of the Way". These jewish believers included James, Peter (who was under the authority of James - Acts 15), Jude, and all the other names at the top of the page in the New Testament. YOUR church fathers descended from Antioch, not Jerusalem.

When Constantine (Ruler of Rome) became infatuated by the power of "religion", he called the Nicean Council of 325 AD and KILLED the jewish remnant in the church by forbidding them to be jewish. A very small remnant lasted into the 14th Century before disappearing.

So, even IF the catholic church went back that far (which it doesn't) it would not be the FIRST church.

My experience is the exact opposite of yours. I was in the catholic church for years just as you were in the protestant branch of baptists.

There were just so many discrepancies and contradictions that it turned me into an atheist for 15 years.

Like the fantastic lie of transubstantiation. How can anyone with a brain believe that crap?

Do you really think a cracker and grape juice has turned into flesh and blood just because some council of men said so in the 13th century?

it is easy to prove otherwise if YOU want to see the truth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
