I like Mr. Squeaky Clean and own several of his old LP's. I know he totally blew it on In a Metal Mood where he covered heavy metal music and he was totally caustigated by the Christian community and had his show dropped by TBN-I guess even they have limits? I never hear anything about Pat anymore-anybody know what's going on with him these days? The last I had heard, he was performing at a local casino earlier this year, but is he still claiming to be a Christian? Just curious.

What is funny is that he is Ozzy Osbourne's neighbour. I think he has been a good witness. Facts preferred over rumors.

One of his grandsons lived here in DeSoto TX and played drums with my son.

Pat spoke at the Christian Coalition's "Solidarity With Israel" convention and I met him backstage and got my picture taken with him. He was extremely gracious and we talked a lot about his children and grandchildren. Now if I could just remember where that picture is...

I thought that metal album was the best thing he'd ever done...but I wondered if he was serious or actually trying to spoof those songs. Either way, I would like a copy of that album!

TBN dropped him for that? They are such hypocrites!

So let me see... They will allow a wolf in sheeps clothing but not a sheep in wolf's clothing (leather)?

I thought the whole thing was a spoof personally. But, TBN dumped him. He went on the air to make apologies on the PTL deal to Paul Crouch and I understand they still dumped him. But, I remember seeing him for years before he went on TBN on what was CBN and he always seemed like a sincere guy to me.

Last I knew of Pat Boone he had his own top 10 or 20 Christian radio show. That was several years ago (about5) and he was pushing the Prescious Moments collection big time.

Well, I think the whole deal got started as he is/was big friends with Alice Cooper, whom I believe to be a Christian now, but not sure. They golfed together quite a bit and such and I think some of his stuff was the basis for the CD. However, I just can't imagine the guy who done "April Love" and "Speedy Gonzalez" doing metal!

He hosted a special for the History Channel tonight on something to do with Halloween. The commercial was about how nothing could scare him and some kid walks in dressed up as something comical and he faints! Actually, I probably wouldn't have remembered the Alice Cooper connection had it not been for that commercial.
