The "soul-sleepers" and "annihilationists" are at it again! They conveniently forget that the Apostle Paul stated quite succinctly that "Absent from the body is sound asleep in the sepulchre." I guess it's probably hard to type & drink Kool-Aid at the same time.

Yes. The Catholics are always in a state of evolving as any pope decides. After all, they think they are Christ's representative on earth and Jesus does not have to return.

Indeed, the Roman Church with its obsession of going to heaven has all but forgotten the return of our Lord. Sadly they are not alone. Many major Protestant denominations place little emphasis on Christ

The Church doesn't change that fast - Vatican II was the biggest thing in hundreds of years, and that was really all just reinterpretation.

Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless. So I concluded that the dead are better off than the living. But most fortunate of all are those who are not yet born. For they have not seen all the evil that is done under the sun.

Not sure whether or not this has the meaning that is intended for truster's purposes, but here it is.
