Help A Chrisitan Artist

Recommended Posts

 Hello folks. If you do not yet know, I am an artist in an art school. I'm hoping, if it is the Lord's will, that after I graduate, I'll be able to start my very own successful Christian Animation company. It would give me undescribable joy if I knew the gift God aloud me to have was being used that would bring glory and honor to His Kingdom. Not to mention with the way things are on television, there aren't nearly enough Christian Animation companies out there.

I'm usually on the hush hush :x: on this topic because I do not wish for people to steal whatever ideas I may come up with, but I'm putting my trust in God that some people out there will be able to assist me with some ideas.

Now, what I'm really hoping for is that this company can make shows/ movies for all ages. The youth department is pretty descent on that front, but I believe that the teens and adults need something to look at as well. I'm particularly looking for ideas on this area. I don't believe you're ever too old for cartoons. Hey! Look at the Simpsons.....not dat I look at it or anything.....but anyway.

If you folks have any ideas on what you'd like to see Christian wise on the television or the big screens, please let me know. I'm open to any and almost all ideas. :D

Hmmmm...for the youth part....have u ever tried graffiti??As a youth myself, i am pretty involved in the hip hop community....

What up, Thirsty? Hmmmm. No, actually I haven't done graffi. You don't mean like on public buildings or anything, do you? I pretty much draw people in a Sequential Art ( Comic book Art) manner.

How would you think young people, (Black teens in particualr) would respond to an animated show dealing with life on the streets....if this is where you're goin with dis :upsided: ......hmmmmmm?

Hi, rmj7!

God bless you in your endevors! If you are able to do this, you'll be an answer to prayers!

What would I like to see? I'm into sci-fi/fantasy, myself. Around here, Jap-anime is pretty popular, too. I don't know if producing something of that caliber is up your alley or not, but I thought I'd mention it.

I've read a Christian sci-fi series whose first book is called Firebird, by Kathy Tyers, and I've read two (four) Christian fantasy novels: The Crimson Tapestry and its sequal by Michael R. Joens, and The One Prince (now it's two books condensed to one) by Bill Hand. Then there was a more recent release called The Arena by Karen Hancock. I thought any of those would be really cool as a movie or saga.

Hope that helps!

Thankx for the blessing and the advise. Hmmmmmm, a sci-fi animated cartoon? Hmmmmmmm, very original concept I've never thought of before, and I don't know if I could get into that sort of stuff.

I love fantasy art, and I could see sum possibilities in that sector if I try hard enough.

Anime..........ewwwwwwe. Me like anime. I'm not too big on the art syle because so many people draw that way now and days, so I can't feel really original with that sort of work, but they do have good stories to em.

Soooooooo, are you suggesting I make something a tad action oriented? If so, how would I do that!? I'm sure I'd be able to keep the viewers' attention span for a good minute in that sense, but I really don't know how other Christians would respond to something like that. hat do the rest of y'all think? :c:

Well, personally....

I absolutely adore Sponge Bob Square Pants...I thinks it's hilarious.

I enjoy funny cartoons more than anything else.

If something has a comedic heart ...I'm totally sold!!!

Or even, dealing with the inner city, or the hip-hop culture is a great idea as well..But if u did that...Dude, put some comedy in it! :t2:

:t2::t2:

God Bless you is this Dude:)

I love the Veggie Tales, but frankly, they're starting to spoil.... I can't wait to see what you come up with! God bless you! Meanwhile, I'll be waiting with my wallet open!!!!!

Wellllll Hazel, I'm glad to see you ARE excited about seein sumthin besides Veggie Tales....but you might have to hold on to your wallet for awhile. Like I said, I'm only a college freshman, so it will probably be another 5-6 years before I can get anything started. ;)

But patience is of virtue though. I'm glad you brought that up though. This is the main reason why I wish to reach out to teenagers and aults more. There isn't anything out there for em! We can only watch talking vegitables for so long, yeesh! ;)

But anyway, peoples. I'm really appreciating all of the prayers and suppot I'm getting here. Sniff, sniff. You guys are....beautiful! Wahhhhhhhhhh!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
