I don't think we will be up and leaving Iraq. I am sure will will be a presence there to deter any attempted coupes, or to deflect invasions from their enemies, like we are in South Korea. This could be the greatest news we've heard about Iraq in a long time. I am praying to God, that 100k soldiers will be home with their loved ones by Christmas next year.

Ha! Ha! Sounds remarkably like the one proposed earlier this year by many Democrats, who were accused at that time of "cutting and running" for proposing a withdrawal timetable. It also sounds like a scam that is being pulled out at election time to trick gullible voters into thinking the president is actually going to do something.

The "new" plan also would require cooperation on the part of the Iraqi resistance to ease up on its attacks on U.S. forces and on Iraq's puppet regime. Why do that when they

What the Democrats want is exactly that cut and run period,

leaving Iraq to fall into the hands of whatever fraction wants

it.

Pres. Bush and most republicans while we all want our boys

home safe and sound, we know we cannot afford to let Iraq

fall into the grasp of another terrorist regime.

We will depart Iraq according to its ability to maintain control

on it's own,until that is possible there will continue to be a U.S.

presence there.

As we can clearly see, it doesn't matter which way Bush leans as far as Iraq goes. People cry and whine about announcing a plan to withdraw and when he starts to reveal a little of the plans, pretty much doing what they've been crying for, it's still not quite good enough.

Either way it's run, he'll get spit on. I say go ahead and do what you need to do, Mr. Bush. Some people just ain't gonna like you no matter what you do.

What's going to be funny is how these very same people in the world, and right here on WB, are going to try to spin their own versions of wars that the Dems start when they have the controls in hand.
