I have a question on book of Acts

Greetings everyone,

I have a kind of dumb question, but yesterday in my study of the book of acts I came across this and it is confusing me.

In Acts 12:2 it says that Herod kills James the brother of John.

When Peter is released from prison he goes to Mary the mother of John whose surname is Mark (verse 12)

verse 18--- Now peter after his testamony says go show these things unto James, and the brethren, I thought ok maybe Peter doesnt realize that James has been executed.

But in Acts 15:13 Here we see James preaching, now these are obviously not the same, I am assuming that the James speaking here is the one who wrote the epistle, but who is the other James?

I believe it is James, the brother of Jesus.
