Just a final note. My father is visiting with us this week and I asked him about the School of Americas. I didn't realize but he actually was an instructor in the School of Americas back in the late 50's. I asked what he taught that could lead to so much controversy. He was an Army Engineer...he taught well digging. Yes, well digging so places like Honduras and other Central American countries could dig their own wells and pump their own potable water. He also said that the School of Americas actually doesn't exist anymore. Today it operates under a different name but comes directly under the Department of Defense to ensure proper oversight. Oh, and by the way. The CIA had nothing to do with it. It was strictly a U.S. Army project up until a few years ago.

Just for the record, my dad spent 30 years on active duty and retired a CW4 back in 1977. He had tours of duty in Panama CZ, Equador, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Germany and Fort Benning to name a few. In my book, he qualifies as an expert witness.

If you think the majority of UK newspapers are left wing the you either know nothing about the UK or have a funny view of what counts as 'Left Wing'.

This is patently not true as the Grauniad and The Indy are the only two that could reasonably be described as 'left wing'.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. What I meant to say is that as you admitted the Indy and the Guardian are left-wing and this story appeared in the Guardian it just proves that the story is left-wing propaganda. Also the Daily Mirror while not as Left-wing as those 2 makes no secret of it's hatred of President Bush and the US.

Many of my VERY Republican, VERY conservative, Right-Wing aquaintances are tolerating this current administration less and less. President Bush has a tall ladder to climb if he wishes to achieve re-election in 2004.

The problem is there doesn't seem to be a worthy opponent coming forth for the next election....

Most journalists are rabidly pro-abortion and anti-Christian, don't forget. It's so sad that many Christians seem so full of hatred towards a Christian President. Would you have preferred Al Gore with his support for abortion, gay rights, radical feminism and New Age theology?
