America's death warrant signed

by Barbara Simpson

1:00 a.m. Eastern

Like it or not, the United States got its Christmas present from Washington's political elites.

What was it?

Betrayal, packaged in the report by the Iraq Study Group.

They should have wrapped it black paper and tied it with a noose.

Instead it was presented to the president, Congress, the media, the public and indeed, the world, in written form that tried to put a good face on a betrayal of our military and the other nations who fought with us in Iraq. But it's also a betrayal of our country and what it stands for, to say nothing of being a blatant slap in the face

WSB,

I agree with you. The Lord has been showing me the same thing for the past two years and I've read many others' writings who also say the same thing and who confirm what God has been saying to me. The only thing I might differ about is that I don't think we can do anything at this point to keep the judgment of God from coming. I believe it has been firmly decided by God, that it will happen, and the only thing repentance will do at this point is keep people from going to hell and/or perhaps spare their lives. I do believe the judgment, nonetheless, will produce repentance, but oh, what a high cost we will pay because we, as a nation, did not heed the warnings of God.

Baker has always been an anti-semite. I hope his report is ignored.

Leonard,

There seems to be a lot of sentiment going around that Bush is going to cave in and yield to this report, because he has backed himself into a corner with no way out. What other alternatives do you think he has that he has yet to pull out of his hat? I hope the report is ignored, too, but I've not heard anyone expressing any other good ideas. Have you? I mean that sincerely, not sarcastically. If you have read any articles stating other good options, I would love to read them.

What about the millions of God fearing American Christians who are obiedient in their walk with God, not to mention those who are great supporters of Israel? Shall these be given devine punishment well? What a wonderful reward.

Dan

Dan,

What about all the people in the world who do not know Jesus because they are being fed lies every day that either he does not exist or they do not have to repent of their sin to go to heaven or that we, as humans, are quite capable of making it on our own? What about all those who have turned their backs on God and/or have just fallen asleep spiritually? What about those who have gotten caught up in the things of this world and so have forsaken their first love? What about all the people of the world who are still in bondage to sin?

God wants them back! He wants them to follow him! Time is short, and they are not getting the message, because there are too many other voices out there telling them differently. God is a jealous God. He longs to have his children come under his wings of protection, and I do believe he will protect those who are hiding in the shelter of the Almighty. But, he must shake this world of ours to get our attention so that we will realize HE alone is God and is worthy of our praise! He must shake this world so that we will turn from our sin and turn to God in repentance and faith.

God is a loving God, slow to anger, abounding in love, mercy and compassion, and he longs to have compassion on his children if they will just turn to him. But, he is also a God of justice, and he is like a loving parent, too. What loving parent would allow his child to continue to do bad things, knowing the end result? The Bible says that the Lord disciplines and punishes those who are HIS so that we might learn obedience and so that we might be more like him. We, in America especially, need a massive dose of God's discipline in order to turn our hearts back towards him.

Actually, Dan, it is a wonderful reward to be a part of the remnant people of God who will be left here to evangelize the world in these last days, because I truly believe that is what is going to take place. I don't want to see bad things happen, but when I weigh that against what I see going on, not only in the world, but also in the Church and in Israel, I realize that God must bring this judgment. It is necessary in order to turn hearts back to Him! It is necessary to revive the Church and for the salvation of Israel. It has been promised in the scriptures a long time ago, and I believe now we are going to see that fulfillment of prophecy in our time.

I always thought good would not destroy you if you were faithful to him.

Daan

That is true that those of us who are faithful to him will not be destroyed, meaning we will not go to hell. Nonetheless, the Bible is filled with promises of suffering, persecution, divine discipline of God, etc. Look at Job as an example. He was faithful to God and look what happened to him. Or, look at Joseph who was sold into slavery because he shared his dreams with his brothers. God is not going to destroy those who are faithful to him. But, he will render divine discipline when necessary in order to get us back on the right path. He will destroy the wicked, though.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
