I came across this verse which encouraged me to believe God doesn't mind when you ask for what you need, I used to kind of beg him appologizing for bothering him with my needs:

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

How bold one should be?

Tatie,

I am so sorry to hear this news. I don't want to sound weird or mystical or anything, but I would like to give you a couple of things to consider:

I believe there is significance in the fact that "by His stripes we are healed."

In 1 Cor. 11:24 it says, quoting Jesus, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you, do this in rememberence of Me."

We always talk about the blood, it saves us it redeems us, nothing but the blood of Jesus! But what about the meantime while we are in this body of death?

Go down to 1 Cor. 11:26-31 it says as often as you eat the bread and drink the cup you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes, but you must do it in a worthy manner and DISCERN the Lord's body.

Many are not discerning the Lord's body, verse 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.

I believe this means that as a church we don't really understand the suffering of our Lord's body is to sustain us, for our healing, for our physical bodies. We preach the blood, we understand the atonement but we don't say much about the bread. The manna in the wilderness kept the children of Israel healthy, it sustained them.

Point being, If the Spirit leads you, I would get some juice and crackers and take the Lord's supper every single day, discerning the body and of course repenting of any sin beforehand, as an act of faith and claim your right to a long life as written in Psalm 91:16 With long life I will satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Blessings and prayers to you sister, please keep us updated!

Thank you, wordsower. What do I say when I take the juice and crackers? I only done in the church before and was a passive participant and don't remember the words to say.

I think I got my answer how active of a participant I should be in healing. I must submit totally to God and let him heal me. :)

It doesn't matter what you say, it matters that you understand what it represents. If you'd like something to say read 1 Cor. 11:23-26

Blessings to you Tatie, and don't be afraid to see Dr.'s, that doesn't mean your faith is weak. God uses Dr.'s to heal, He uses people to work through. He is the one doing the healing either way! Just don't doubt! (See James 1:5-8)

Thank you again, wordsower! But what about these verses:

1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

I think we may be victims of the KJV confusion regarding these words of Paul.

Here is the same passage in the NLT.

"For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until he comes again. So if anyone eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord unworthily, that person is guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. That is why you should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking from the cup. For if you eat the bread or drink the cup unworthily, not honoring the body of Christ, you are eating and drinking God's judgment upon yourself. That is why many of you are weak and sick and some have even died. But if we examine ourselves, we will not be examined by God and judged in this way."

The Eucharist had been turned into a party. Eating, drinking and debauchery. The Lord passed judgement on the Corinthian Church because they were playing marbles with diamonds. But this is not a mystic recipe for eternal life.

In cultural context, not discerning the Body did have something to do with the Body of Christ, as in the Church, not mass/communion per se. I Cor. 11:18 ff. talk about divisions, haughty cliques, and some having 'hotdogs' while others had 'steak' at the meal before the Lord's Supper.

Tatie: I went forward at church in proxy for you and my wife (MS) as the Pastor called us to a point of contact to meet the Healer. The presence of God was palpable.

Heb. 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

James 5:13-18 There is more than one way that God brings healing (e.g. we pray, others pray, laying on of hands, elders, spit in the eye, command, etc.)

Thank you, journey. I wish it was clear than just "examine" ourselves and "unworthy", but assumptions based on the doctine will have to make due.

godrulz, thank you so much. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO SIMPLY BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL HEAL YOU? I mean it is cancer, but I shouldn't think of it as a big deal, to God it's nothing.

Tatie, stand strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might. You are His child and you were created for His pleasure, to love Him and to be loved by Him. Pleasure the Father with your adoration and Worship.

I find it so wonderful when my son just comes up to me for "seemingly" no reason at all and just hugs me and says "love you dad" and just stays secure in my arms for 10 minutes or more. I want God to feel that same pleasure that I get from my son, with me. I picture Jesus holding me and me just enjoying his loving presence and adoring Him with my whole heart. I picture Him smiling at me and happy because I bring him happiness.

God is so magnificent. Love and Light beyond our comprehension. He is worthy of our praise and worship and love and adoration. Worship God no matter what circumstances are love Him and people as if you were to be standing before Him today. You will find as you get a revelation of His Love and His pleasure in your existence that you are able to Love others as God does. And Faith works by Love.

God Bless you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
