How does this type of stuff edify the Body?

Athiests coming into OUR house and insulting our God and our beliefs.

It's disgusting that they try and persuade Christians AWAY from the truth.

All I can say is "Get thee behind me satan".

I second that emotion, G. :th_praying:

You know, I have no problem with unbelievers coming in here to learn more about our beliefs.

But to come in here for the sole purpose of causing strife and discord is abhoring to me.

We are fine, happy, saved from the judgement of God.

We are free from captivity.

It seems it is them who are miserable.

I started a whole thread/rant on that subject. :emot-hug::th_praying:

Persuasiveness?

Do you think you're persuading anyone here with anything you're posting? :th_praying:

Well if they didn't feel persuaded (and therefore threatened) by what I was writing, I don't know why they would be claiming that they felt they were speaking to the "devil himself".

Who said anyone was persuaded or threatened by what you were writing? Still trying to persuade minds by spreading further lies I see. I have already lived life the way you are suggesting for me to live it up again I didn't do to good of a job of it. My life is in God now and there is nothing in which you have at all to persuade me or entice me away from God to back unto it. You only offer death and not life. No thanks not a good trade. I already made the trade of a lifetime when I gave up death and eternal punishment for peace and life everlasting.

Every part of it including even you yourself in the mix that you can visibly see with your eyes for it is proof there is a Creator. Whether you like to retain that proof and evidence in your finite mind or not it still remains and is evidence of a divine Creator.

OC

But how can you know that all of this came from a human-like creator? Don't you see how egotistical and human-centric this claim is?

The Creator is not human-like.

...since I have become an atheist my life has become vibrantly more meaningful and rich.

Funny thing is that since I accepted Christ as Lord & Savior 16 years ago, my life has become vibrantly more meaningful and rich. :th_praying: Maybe the difference is that I do not restrict my Christianity to the pews but I honestly try to live it 24/7. I express my faith at work, home and even when I play. I have found nothing that comes close to fulfilling me physically and spiritually.

Emissary, by your own words, I changed your classification to unbeliever. Please remember that you are a guest here. We are not tolerant of anyone with an agenda to undermine our ministry so please show proper respect. Feel free to ask any questions but keep in mind that this is a Christian Ministry.

All others: feel free to restrict yourselves to the Inner Court. The Outer Court is for all people, unbelievers alike, who accept our Terms of Service and show the proper respect.

May the Lord Bless all of you richly,

Wayne

Psalm 73

25 Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

26 My flesh and my heart may fail,

but God is the strength of my heart

and my portion forever.

27 Those who are far from you will perish;

you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.

28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.

I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;

I will tell of all your deeds.

I am extremely confused.

So many of the Christians here accept the non-believers coming here to chat and debate our beliefs. They welcome the sharpening stone of conversation to hone their beliefs.

Yet here in this forum you say non-believers are spewing drivel, children of satan, trying to persuade us away from the gospel. Someone, the OP, wanted to know why they are here, were you not willing or ready for that answer. Did you really think they were going to say, I came here to learn more about Jesus? Obviously they think they know something we do not and feel it is necessary to share that information with [what they consider] us uneducated, close minded Christians.

If someone really has come here to try to persuade Christians away from their belief, by posting books or information that contradicts God's Word, then it should be edited. Just as it is if someone posts information about a specific denomination. Lets not let them get us riled up by their answers. Remember they believe they are totally justified in their belief. Making rude claims is not going to change their view, only solidify their belief that Christians are mindless, heartless, idiots.

Just my opinion.

In His Mighty Grip,

Bib

Lets say that you invited a few friends to a party and some strangers showed up.

You welcome them.

Ask them to stay and enjoy the dinner.

They procede to tell you that the food is aweful and that you are stupid to cook it that way.

They tell you that your house is ugly and your wife is a liar.

You ask them why they even showed up for dinner and they say to persuade you to leave your wife.

So, do you just sit back and say, I respect your opinion, do you want some cake?

I dont think so.

You ask them to leave your home.

I don't look at all unbelievers as I did these two. Some of them, I carry on civil conversations with. The difference is the way these two came in, and the agenda they are freely admitting to bringing to these forums. There are some that come here to fellowship and learn about Christianity. They are atheists, but they have no anti-God agenda. These people came to turn us away from the faith. They are enemies of the cross of Christ. As far as I am concerned, they are of their father the devil. If that comes across rude to you, I cannot help that. Just as they "believe they are totally justified in their belief," so do I believe I am totally justified in calling them for what they are.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
