i have heard people pray for their loved ones and they still died without jesus. So what does it mean in the bible where it says beleve and your whole house whole shall be saved if so why did theses people that were being prayed about still died without jesus.

I believe that he was referring to those under the age of accountability--children, and also that there are those in a household who will be influenced to salvation through the believer's living faith.

See 1 Corinthians 7:14...

If you are a man with a wife who is not a believer but who still wants to live with you, hold on to her. If you are a woman with a husband who is not a believer but he wants to live with you, hold on to him. The unbelieving husband shares to an extent in the holiness of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is likewise touched by the holiness of her husband. Otherwise, your children would be left out; as it is, they also are included in the spiritual purposes of God.

There is a measure of sanctification on those of the household, especially on those who are tender of years, and lack the comprehension of the message of salvation--those who comprehend must choose for themselves. For the unbelieving spouse this "covering" means that the favour and blessing the believer receives from God and knowing Him, the unbelieving one receives also.

there are other examples where it is through the faith of others that a persons sins are forgiven, not by that individuals faith. Sorry I will have to look up the verses.

There is scripture, Mark 2, attesting to the fact that people were healed because of the faith of others: the man let down through the roof of the house where Jesus was healing. The man was a paraplegic and he was healed because of the faith of his friends. Jesus did say that his sins were forgiven him, which is a wonderful part of the story! I just remembered that! I imagine this man couldn't even speak, and so the strong faith of his friends communicated to Christ that he had such a need. How wonderful! Deep down I am thinking that this man was aligned with them and had like faith!

Mark 2:1012...

After a few days, Jesus returned to Capernaum, and word got around that he was back home. A crowd gathered, jamming the entrance so no one could get in or out. He was teaching the Word. They brought a paraplegic to him, carried by four men. When they weren't able to get in because of the crowd, they removed part of the roof and lowered the paraplegic on his stretcher. Impressed by their bold belief, Jesus said to the paraplegic, "Son, I forgive your sins."

6-7Some religion scholars sitting there started whispering among themselves, "He can't talk that way! That's blasphemy! God and only God can forgive sins."

8-12Jesus knew right away what they were thinking, and said, "Why are you so skeptical? Which is simpler: to say to the paraplegic, 'I forgive your sins,' or say, 'Get up, take your stretcher, and start walking'? Well, just so it's clear that I'm the Son of Man and authorized to do either, or both . . ." (he looked now at the paraplegic), "Get up. Pick up your stretcher and go home." And the man did it
