Years ago I read the oil mixture that Moses and Aaron used was in fact a hallucinogenic drug.  The guy claimed to have reproduced the stuff and tried it.  Out in the desert.  On a very hot day.  In a tent.  He poured the stuff all over everything around him and himself.  He said every thing started to move around and I don

George,

I had never heard of such silliness... but I'm glad you posted it. It is important to know the wiles and ways of the Enemy. If someone brought this up to me in my job (as a substance abuse counselor), I would not have been able to say anything about it one way or the other. I would have been completely surprised because it sounds so ludicrous.

Any slam or disparagement made against Christ must be seriously looked at and evaluated because if it is out there, it means people are buying into it. We can't fight something we know nothing about.

Naw, traveller, we probably shouldn't, cause you know what they'd do?

They'd just "second" his opinion!

In His Love,

Suzanne

I am quite certain that Jesus Christ didn't smoke pot.  It would have been sin to alter His senses and not be sober.

There is a chance that He may have used hemp in His carpentry work.  Although hemp has no inebriating factors, it is from the marijuana plant.

Of course, the writer of that article George posted had an agenda.  It's funny how the marijuana activists(I used to be one) will place hemp in the same category to show its productiveness, so that they will have a chance to get high legally.  We have a bitter struggle as Christians today.  We must not do as some governments by using exaggeration to oppose a lie.  We have the truth!  We have been set free by the truth!  Let's spread the truth throughout the world!

And I thought the Pamela-Anderson-teaching-Sunday-School post was a scream. LOL!

WIP: You got that right. Pamela Anderson??? You gotta be kidding? Uh, yeah...right!

No, I agree...YOD, the guy who wrote this was smokin' something that day...

And whoever asked about weed being indigenous to the Americas never served in  'Nam.

Weed is indigenous to Southeast Asia and tropical environments. Viet Nam had the stuff growing wild. My Dad did a one year tour in 'Nam.

BTW, marijuana is a multi-million dollar industry in Hawaii.

I lived there for four years as a teenager and it grows wild  everywhere. Most police sorta "wink" at it.

Even though I lived there, I didn't know it was considered a major industry on the island. I found that out watching Jeopardy.
