Now Marc Morano has had quite a sordid history in Washington as being a right wing hack and purveyor of misinformation, but really that is probably besides the point. Instead, we ought to be looking at the guy who hired him this time around. James Inholfe has been the most vocal critic in Washington of Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory. The question of course is why? Well, let's look at who Mr. Inholfe's contributors are. Well, by far the highest contributing sector to Mr. Inholfe, by a margin of over 2 to 1 over any other sector, is wait, wait, I bet someone can probably guess this one........... Ok, you ready for the answer? You guessed it - Energy and Natural Resources. Yep, good old Big Oil gave Senator Inhofe over 600,000 dollars in 2006 alone. Forrest, you are so tiring sometimes, bro. Truth is truth, wherever it comes from, man. The guy is not promoting truth in the blog. He is quoting a right wing rag and some congressional remarks against science. I mean come on. The climatologist with The Weather Channel has a point. If Global Warming Skeptics want to be taken seriously in the scientific community, they need to take the ethical route that every other scientist takes, and publish their findings in scientific journals. However, if they want to continue to promote lies and misinformation, they should be stripped of their credentials. Think about it, if there were doctors on the take from the Tobacco Industry running around right now claiming cigarettes were actually good for you and putting out a massive industry funded campaign of lies and misinformation, no one would think twice about pulling their license and AMA certification. This issue is no different. If you have a handful of scientists on the take from the fossil fuels industry running around spreading lies and misinformation, they ought to lose their certification. You are confusing two separate issues. No one is claiming that Global Warming Deniers should not have the right to be purveyors of lies and misinformation, but rather if they are going to exercise that right, and be propogandists for various ideological groups and the fossil fuels industry, rather than ethical scientists, then they ought to marked as such. Would you disagree with that?

May I copy and paste this is the Pallywood thread, only changing "Global Warming Deniers" to something like Palestinian News media or Arab News media, and change "fossil fuels industry" to say Islamic extremists?
