I was wondering if anyone witnessed a faith healing? How did it look? Was it instant? I started thinking about it because I realized I didn't really know what faith healing was and yet I was praying for it like crazy, how would I know I was healed? Were all bible healings instantenious? It just occured to me that the only ones I knew of is when Jesus just said "get up, you are cured" type.

I have!! (hand raised!!) I had a pregnant co-worker that had a tumor in her abdomin, they told her it would get bigger as her pregnancy progressed and she was in a lot of pain with it. I was driving to work one morning praying and asked God to please heal the tumor and I felt like I heard Him say He would. When I got to work I asked her how she was feeling and she said "You know, I feel really good today, my stomach isn't hurting." I said, you know, I prayed for you this morning and the Lord has healed your tumor! When you go back to the Dr. they will tell you they can't find any tumor.

She went the next day and she called me as soon as she got out. She said they couldn't feel the tumor so they did another ultrasound and then they left for a while and came back scratching their heads. They said, "We know we diagnosed you with a tumor but we just can't find it now so as long as it doesn't bother you we will just keep an eye on it." She told them some girl at work had said God healed her but they kind of said, yeah, OK.

I have also witnessed two separate deaf people be healed, that was awesome! One girl was so shocked she couldn't stop crying and just kept touching her ears.

I am believing you are going to be healed, Tatie! Praise the Lord for your healing! Your whole life is in His hands and there are no better hands to have your life in!

Thank you, wordsower! So they were instant healings? Maybe I am alreay healed and don't know it? My tumor only shows up on the CT scan, and my insurance will not pay for another one (I just had one done last week in the hospital). I have to wait till next year when the doctor can order another one and give a reason for it, he can't just order it, he has to justify it because it's very expensive. My next CT scan is due after I had 2 rounds of chemo and then I can have a CT scan to see if the tumor responded. So I guess I have to wait till then unless something happens to let me know the tumor is gone. I read in one book, one man's brain tumor fell out though his nose (sorry for the picture), but it made me think anythink can happen. :t2:

I have seen many healings, some medically documented. they don't always happen instantaniously. What I can tell you is that most of the people truely believed they were healed even before they saw the evidence. I think that is what Jesus and James were talking about concerning faith.

Some healings are instantaneous, while others are progressive over a period of time (search all the gospel accounts). They are miraculous and verifiable by medical professionals usually.

I've witnesses a miraculous healing and I didn't even go to a Benny Hinn rally. I didn't even have to 'send money' ....God granted it freely. It was too cool!!!

Thank you, godrulz, it's very useful to know. So even if I am not healed instantly, I will not worry and wait and believe I will be healed.

Very important point: Blessed are thos who believe and yet not seen. I will thank God for healing as if I already am healed. I bet the doctors will be surprised when they have the tests done! :t2:

I am sorry cats, I didn't get your post. Are you saying you have to pay money or be at a rally to be healed? Or there are more chances that way? If it is, I will find one asap!

No, Tatie, they are not always instantaneous. There was a man that went to my old church that had cerosis (sp?) of the liver and I saw pictures of him, his stomach was huge, looked like he was carying twins and he was holocaust thin looking, on his death bed. The Dr.'s said his liver had stopped working and there was nothing they could do, he would live a few days. His wife did not accept it. She prayed and a preacher came and told her to keep any doubting person out, even the hospital staff, and claim healing and have as many people in to pray that they could that really believed. I think she said they kept christian TV on, anyways he was 100% healed, Dr's could not explain it and he is great now, that was several years ago! There is something to having a believer lay hands on you and pray in agreement. Do you know anyone that sincerely believes in healing that could lay hands on you and annoint you with oil? Most importantly do not doubt! Say that you are healed and believe it. Don't let any negative maybe or if thoughts in and stay in prayer. I am praying for you too, Tatie and I believe you are healed!

Thank you, wordsower!!!!! Very encouraging post. I am at a point I have no choice but believe in healing. It's a double edge sword, it's so hard, but at the same time I wonder: would I ever believe so much in the power of God if I wasn't on the brink of death? I heard people say cancer was a blessing, maybe that's what they meant?

I believe God loves me and will heal me if He didn't already, and that all things work together for good for those who love God. :o)

Hi, Tatie. I can show you one that was a gradual healing. I guess that's what it would be called. It's my dad. Here's the link to where I told the story in the "Praises" section:

http://www.worthyboards.com/forums/index.p...T&f=9&t=3224&s=

And, here's the link to the photos showing how he progressively recovered:

http://community.webshots.com/user/phyllis480

And, as for my own personal story, I guess it was more of an instant thing. I won't go into what it was, but all had been to 2 different doctors, and was getting worse. I went to bed, turned over on my side and just prayed. It wasn't a complicated, long prayer, but I told Him how I knew that He could do anything at all, and how I knew that He didn't want a child of his feeling the way I was at that time, and just asked Him, if He saw fit and would, would he take this away from me. I don't remember the exact words I prayed, but that was about it. I actually felt a warmth in my chest area, and was better from that moment on, and have never had that particular problem again. It was an experience I will not forget, or could ever thank Him enough for.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
