Okay my friend just broke up with her boyfriend. Before she was saved they used to have sex and some pictures were taken (she thought they had been destroyed, but apparently not). Since she broke up with him hes now threatening to send these photos to her parents and put them online. He's also threatening her with other things but I think the above was the most serious.

I'm not sure exactly how to help her- should we be talking to the police?? I feel so awful for her...she's such a sweet girl and this is the last thing that she needs. Even if you don't have any advice could you please say a prayer?? Thanks!

Yikes, how awlful.... Go ahead and speak with the police, ask them what her rights are and go on from there, they may not be able to do anything about it until after the picures are posted on the internet. :wub:

ugh this is so awful! I feel so bad for her...i wish there was a way to stop this before anything got out publicly.

Im going to pray long and hard.

And right now she feels terrible because she thinks this is God's way of punishing her! :wub:

:whistling: Awww.. Poor thing, God has forgiven her and has forgotten about it, but... Unfortunately we still have to face the consequences of our actions... And this is a bad one, but she's not alone many have gone through the same thing. We all make mistakes and praise Jesus, we can be forgiven. Remind her that God loves her and not to let satan rehash the past, he likes to do that to bring us down. Remind her that through Him she is victorious.

It certainly is illegal. Blackmail, putting lewd pictures of someone online without their permission, especially if they're underage... Definitely go to the police.

unfortunately this isn't so uncommon. and even more unfortunately, he owns the pictures. they weren't taken without her consent, and i'm assuming they were taken by him, and probably with his camera, in which case he technically owns the copyright and can legally do whatever he wants.

of course, i'm not an attorney, and i don't live in canada. i'm basing what i say on the hundreds of similar cases that have made the news in recent years.

Poor thing,I can't give advice ,but I will say a prayer for her right now! Please remind her that God has forgiven her so no matter what this creep may do he can't touch that.I am a strong believer in what goes around does indeed come back around,so in the long run he is really only hurting himself.God Be With Her in this time.God Bless You Hope 47

Blackmail is a crime if hes using the photos for that purpose...but I would call his bluff and go to the police for help anyway.....and tell him go ahead(chances are he does not have them)

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
