you misunderstood. the vaccine does NOT last til the age of 26. unless of course, the person getting the vaccine is 21 at the time.

the vaccine has only been proven affective for a maximum of five years.

the vaccine is NOT RECOMMENDED for a woman over the age of 26.

why not? is that woman less at risk of getting the disease? or is it because the vaccine may be harmful to the woman at that age?

the facts are, it has not been proven SAFE for women over the age of 26, according to the CDC website.

that means it may not be safe for children either in the long run.

I think vaccines can be harmful. People blindly accept vaccines (and subject their kids to them) without even asking what the ingredients are in the shot. They don't ask "How might this shot affect my liver, kidneys, immune system, endocrine system, etc.". Many think that vaccines are linked to the epidemic of childhood conditions of autism, ADD, etc. that were practically non-existent before the introduction of vaccines. The flu shot contains thimerosal, which is a mercury derivative.

It is amusing that OSHA considers mercury a hazardous substance, except when it is put in our shots and in our dental fillings. I will choose to trust in the immune system which God gave me. And my son will receive no more shots. Here is a good website:

i didn't say it had proven to wear off. georges, i despise when people put words in my mouth or twist what i say, so don't do that.

i said that according to the CDC, studies have only proven it to be affective for up to five years. more study is needed to determine how long it will last or if it will require future booster shots.

ps, i also did not say it was proven unsafe. i said it had not been proven safe (or effective for that matter) in women over the age of 26, and i also pointed out the obvious that it has not had any long term studies to prove it safe in the long run for children.

i have a slightly off-topic question...

for all who might think it's wiser to get their daughter a vaccine that prevents cancer that results from std's (and does nothing to protect any other form of cervical cancer) based on the fact that a child might be victimized by a sexual predator in the way of incest or rape....

would you give your daughter the pill or depo shots to prevent a pregnancy just because there was a slight possibility that the pregnancy might result from rape or incest instead of her own sexual conduct?

if you are a woman who is not married and who is choosing abstinance, do you choose to be on birth control just because you might someday be raped?

my point exactly. it has not been proven safe. just because something has not been proven UNsafe doesn't mean it IS safe. facts are, nobody KNOWS.

Wow, that fact that TX is making it mandatory in young girs is shocking.

After one one of my complete physicals, and the tests came back, I was called by my dr informing me that I had HPV and needed to go in for more testing. After the following testing, and talking with the drs, I went home and informed my husband. I did not accuse him of giving it to me, nor did he accuse me of giving it to him. Since we were neither virgins prior to when we had married each other. The only change in my life is that i now have to be tested for cancer every three months as apposed to annually. But in the information that I have read and researched and was informed by my dr:

Two virgins that marry will not contract it as long as they remain faithful

There is no way to test men for contracting the virus

Men can get get cancer from the virus but the risk is very low

Women who get the virus might develop cancer from the virus, though studies have shown that some women who have had it for years died without ever devleoping cancer

This is a virus that is transmitted through contact

There are many strands of HPV and some cause genital warts and some may cause cancer

This is just one of the ugly things that are a result of a sinful nature. I have shared with my teenage children the risks as they were explained to me. I have also talked at great length with them over the importance of having a relationship with God. The risk of getting cancer doesnt scare me like the thought of my children leaving the presence of God to be cool with their friends.

you think birth control is only used for birth control...its not...its used for other things...but yes it would be a good preventative for protection against a rape pregnency
