To all you guys: I read some posts that make my blood boil but you guys are on the mark!

Everytime I hear people bashing their brothers for some infraction or pointing the accusing finger of blame, I get in that maternal mindset and become defensive of the poor victim they're bashing.

If we don't all realize that "but for the grace of God, there go I", then the Lord will make us keenly aware of our humble condition. He did me and boy did I eat humble pie...and I mean the "whole pie".

What I learned, (the hard way) from our Father in Heaven is this:

I would certainly hope that most will open their hearts and allow HIM to do HIS work within us all....which is a good work! :)

HI guys Read Judges, the Israelites backslid constantly, and God dwelt with them in his own way, as I'm know he has me when I've fallen off the narrow path. People are capable of hurting me, but it is God who I aim to please and it is when He is upset with me that I really feel convicted. Remember David losing his first born with Bathsheba? We just need to remember the judging is up to God, and so is the conviction. It's our jobs to be Christlike and welcome them with open arms. Christ taught us to pray in a way that says forgive that we may be forgiven, I think thats pretty conditional. God will show us the same care and respect we show others regardless of their state of salvation, or what we may think it is. Now remembering that each and every day is something to work on because the Lord knows how imperfect I am. I do believe the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life is to strive to live in accordance with Gods will.

Shilou... most definitely my kind of Christian...Amen and amen!

I sure wish everybody thought like that. Folks are so quick to judge.  I try to be really careful not to fall in that snare.

If a brother is defiant and unrepentent, of course...we can't embrace open rebellion, (Example: out drinking it up every night; smoking crack, gambles the family's income, etc.).

But folks are so hard and quick to condemn when they don't have all the facts. We really have to be very careful, lest we be judged.

Boils down to this...love the sinner but hate the sin. :)

Hey Cats I think your right. I wish more people would study the OT. It's such a great example of God working in people's lives. Our own existence is played out over and over in their lives there. When people start to judge it is like saying look I'm perfect and your not. It is really quite unbecoming of a Christian to be judgemental, it does not edify God in any way. If someone is out drinking or using crack that is a sign to us that that person is living without the light of Christ. Once we know that it is up to us to shed some light in a dark place. Many times we will have no idea if it took root, and we don't need to know, we just have to bring the light, not control how it shines. I like the OT because it does not say wipe the dust from my feet after two times of saying it. God saved the Israelites countless times after they had abandoned Him. I'll take my lead from God. I have a girl I work with that drinks too much. I think I have probably shared my experience with God with her over 100 times, just recently she has started asking me questions. She does not live with me so she doesn't effect my life in any way, so I do not feel the need to control whether or not she gets saved. I only feel prompted by the Spirit to say something and it flows. God has not once told me to shut up and judge her, or just forget it shes not worth the time. We as Christians so often think we are special because of our status as saved people. What we really are is Gods worker bees to bring others to Him. There is a battle being waged between Satan and God over the souls of people and when we see someone in the clutches of Satan it is a horrible place for them to be. Compassion would be more like the thing we should feel for them, not judgement. I've been in Satans hand and all I had was misery, I feel for anyone that lives in that kind of darkness.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
