HELL FIRE

In Matthew 7:13-14, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke these words:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The vast majority of mankind will never find the Lord. Indeed, the majority of mankind will be lost for eternity. This doctrine may be difficult to accept, yet true nonetheless! But where, oh where, I ask, is the warning? I look to our pulpits, but they utter not a word of this terrible fate awaiting the damned. Why do the vast majority of "pastors" refuse to preach hell fire?

BILLIONS of souls are going to burn in hell for ever and ever. Is this not important enough to deserve our utmost attention? Why does Joel Osteen, poster boy for Colgate, refuse to preach hell fire? My friends, Brothers and Sisters, allow me to speak plainly...

These so-called "preachers" are nothing but LIARS AND DECEIVERS.

2 Timothy 4:2-4

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

We need to cast out these Vipers!

We need to finish with them!

I don't get it either. I'm always telling people that there is a lake of fire and they KNOW it but still don't feel the slightest bit of apprehension over it. Its baffling. But nobody listens to me. I'm just a guy in a place.

You also might want to heed Paul's other words as well:

And the Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.

We would do well by not pointing fingers at people, but rather stand up for Christ and reveal the light that He has given you. Looking vertically to God for your help instead of glancing laterally at fellow believers, fallible as they may be, is not getting the job of the Great Commission done. It is sidetracking it and causing it to become mired.

Hell fire can be preached without making it hell on everyone.

Preaching hell fire like we have heard doesnt have any love it and no relationship. It leads to legalism and works doctrine.

However the goodness of God is far better than to touch the heart and change a persons life from the inside out.

The truth is God loves people and he wants to be their friends. He wants them to be like his son he wants their free will . Hell fire preaching doesnt give you much free will does it?

Do you serve God because you are afraid he will kill you if you dont? Thats the basic message of hell fire preaching. Not that it shouldnt be preached at all for we serve a powerful God but the truth is his Love is far greater.

His mercy endures forever.

All I know is I got saved after listening to a message about the rapture, and how those who were not ready would have to go through the great tribulation period. It was definately a judgement type message, and so I believe very strongly in them. I have no problem with being balanced, preaching God's love

and God's judgement, but it seems to me that the judgement side has almost been entirely left out by modern preachers.

I agree with you. its just that manytimes it swings to far the other way

One must ask if you are going to complain about others , are you preaching it? Do you have a following? Have you written the people of who you have complaints against and told them your conserns? Until you have done these things it doesnt seem reasonable to attack the bretheren.

In Matthew 7:13-14, the Lord Jesus Christ spoke these words:

WHen you think about his verse you have to realize just what or who this gate is. Yeshua said he was the gate and what he opens no man can shut and what he shuts no man can open.

He is a very narrow gate but the thing about a gate once you find it and are inside there is alot of room . I wonder if He shuts the gate for you once you enter in?

We need to finish with them!

"good news"... how hard is this to understand?? People won't come because no one wants to hear their gonna be burned! We need to motivate people by the joys of heaven, not the fear of hell.

It is difficult, but spreading the Gospel was never easy.

Hell must be preached to unrepentant sinners, the Law must be preached to those who feel no contrition for their sins or know the consequence of sin. This is what Christ did.

But on the other side is Grace and grace must be preached to those who are troubled in their heart over their sins, and need an answer, they need to understand what Christ has already done for them and the freedom he offers from these sins, and Christ also did this. To the Pharisee at dinner, Christ was stern pointing out his sin, to the women at his feet, also a sinner Christ said her faith had saved her, she already knew she was a sinner and needed forgiveness.

But grace will have no effect on someone who does not feel they need grace, such as the Pharisees. So yes we need to speak of hell and the consequences of sin. We are all motivated differently, but like Butero I was probably brought to conversion through both sermons and what the bible has to say about hell and the consequences of rejecting Christ.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
