By the Way as a newer member I read the pinned message at the beginning of this thread, has anyone else? This behavior isn't tolerated from what I see, regardless whose bashing who. I want to thank those who create a welcoming mature enviroment.

Sorry Shiloh but I have to agree, you were doing great and I completely agree with you on the doctrinal side, but you did lose it a little unfortunately. While I don't agree with sister2 the end and it seems her style is a little brash, I didn't think she was too far out of line. Criticizing doctrine is understandable, but personal attacks are nasty! Just my humble opinion!

Ya'll ....drop it; hug and make up and bless the Lord's heart.

People get upset. We're all human. Let's just forgive and stop bringing it up.

End it now...just hug.

I joined this communtiy because of the FAIR and mature debates and to learn something from others.  I did NOT join because of the name calling and the degrating that occurs when someone disagrees with someone else.  Why does Shiloh continue to bash others when they don't agree with his/hers thoughts?  I am apalled that this is allowed and tolerated on a Christian based board.

shiloh357: You should change your user ID to SisterClueless2TheEnd. This is just typical garbage from your crowd assigning to us what you think we believe. You cannot participate in an honest or meaningful debate because your too busy telling me what I believe and putting words in my mouth. Any intelligent discourse is impossible with you.

This is hostility in its finest. I believe that not everyone will agree with each others beliefs but there is a way to handle it and go about our business in a mature fashion. I can say that I am fed up with the short time I have been here and if this continues will not be back.

Just an newbies point of view.

Hello, and welcome. Here are a few of the "remarks" that started hostility here, and they were not from Shiloh. He was responding to remarks like these when he said that. These were being said either about the doctrine of OSAS, or those who hold to it, and telling those who believe OSAS what we believe: (bold added by me)

"Some Great Websites that combat this false doctrine:"

"Now, who am I supposed to believe? John Ankerberg or the Spirit of God?

1 Timothy 4:1 KJV

(1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; "

"So how do these "smooth talkers" get such a conclusion? Certainly not from the Bible. I'd hate to teach or base my eternal future on such unscriptural doctrines of men"

"If you cannot see the difference, then it is no surprise. OSAS teaches that obedience to God is a work. "Just sit back and rest because God did it all for you", OSAS says, while completely ignoring passages that commands us to avoid sin, stand firm, and endure to the end, claiming that to do so is "trying to earn you salvation". Sad."

Only to a doctrine that breeds this type of lawless thinking.

----------------------------------------------

I don't think Shiloh started the hostility.

calamity,

i've seen OSAS'ers say that to believe otherwise was to believe doctrines of demons as well. i can't believe you would quote a scripture that someone posted that referred to something as a doctrine of demons and use that to support that anyone would bash another. it was scripture!

this "level of hostility" from others here is NOT on the level of calling names such as "sisterTclueless2theend".

i have personally been the target of shiloh's arrogance, and have watched for days while others are targeted even more harshly than i was. we (collectively speaking of his targets) have been accused of giving limp-wristed arguments, of arrogance, of ignoring scripture, of being incapable of intelligent debate, not having a grasp of what is being said (and this has been said to more than one person in more than one context), of posting garbage, of subverting the Word of God, saying "we'll see who makes it to the throne" implying that those who disagree on this issue will not make it to heaven, reading into scripture what we want to hear, and so on.

yet when we post scripture after scripture in which God's Word unmistakably warns of the consequences of rejecting our faith and turning to false gods, they go largely ignored... and when questioned about being ignored, we're told that it takes too much time to read the long posts, and too much effort to address them. many of those long posts had no personal commentary at all, just scriptures. it's too time consuming to read scriptures? no wonder this thread has degenerated into such a hateful display of childishness.

there is nothing civil regarding these comments. and by even coming to respond, i'm acting just as childish. at least i'm mature enough to admit it.

LadyC, I am out of this thread after this post. I do believe the OSAS doctrine was referred to or insinuated as being a doctrine of devils. Why else was that Scripture used after the comment? It was clearly called "false doctrine" in other posts.

Believing differently on the OSAS subject, does not mean that the one who disagrees with you is following false doctrine or false teachings, or doctrines of devils, but unforunately, that's how it is implied time and again.

Then, we keep hearing WHAT we believe, by those who do not even believe OSAS. When we try to tell them, it doesn't matter, or goes ignored, or some other remark comes back. I know what I believe, just as you do, and I do not believe that it's a license to sin, or some of the other things that have been said.

I can agree to disagree, but some people don't seem to be able to do that. It's a shame that this can't be discussed in a civil manner, because it really would be interesting to hear BOTH sides, and the reasons they believe what they do, plain and simple - but it doesn't look like that will happen.

Enjoy the thread, all.

Loving each other pleases the Lord...we may not always agree but then, only He knows all the answers.

One thing we DO know...is that it pleases Him to forgive, forget and move on.

We all have our many shortcomings...and we all get uptight sometimes.

Brash? Uh-oh! That's not good as I'm really not a brash person. My apologies to everyone!

I'll bring down the "brashness" some!

Thanks for that, Smasher!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
