Interesting Adstar, but then how do you explain these verses:

Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Matthew 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

Matthew 17:2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Matthew 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

It would appear that the old testament saints have already had a resurrection of sorts, but if they haven't I believe they would take part in the first resurrection with the saved, because how I understand it, they are already part of the saved. In other words, I don't think your explanation could be correct. Dad Ernie's explanation is interesting too saying that there will be millenial conversions, which of course I believe, but then it wouldn't be the judgement of the unsaved if some got saved, unless you are referencing it as those who were unsaved at the time of the first resurrection. I definitely believe there will be people written in the book of life at the end of the millenium. Why wouldn't there be?

Thanks for bringing that scripture to me. :il: Yes the OT saints did rise at the moment of His death. and Jesus did say that the thief on the cross beside Him would be in paradise that day :bright: So if these OT saints where raised from the dead did they jump back into their graves and are they now waiting for the second coming of the Messiah? Or did they Go into paradise? If they did go into paradise at the time then they will not be talking part in the first resurrection that takes place at the Messiah's return, will they?

Here is another question. What makes an OT Saint a Saint? Is it anyone in the OT used by God as a spokesmen Is it all those to whom the Spirit came to like Daniel, Samuel, Ezekiel and others?

Well if all the OT saints went to paradise at the time of Jesus death then that still leave a great multitude of OT Jews lets call them the common people who had faith in God and did their utmost to follow His commands. Maybe the second resurrection will see these rise from the dead with the rest of mankind maybe that
