All I know is what the Lord tells me. You can choose whatever you want. I don't have the luxury of being able to pick and choose what God tells me. I believe HIM and His Word over those people in here who believe their own thing.

Shalom FA,

And that's exactly what I'm saying to you.

You cannot hear G-d telling you something that contradicts Scripture. G-d does not go against His Word.

So, if you are hearing that Peter's vision has anything to do with food, it's not from G-d because that's not what the Scriptures say.

I believe HIM and His Word over people who want to add things to the Scriptures that just aren't there.

I won't pick and choose what I obey, I obey G-d and His Word.

I believe you want to stand right before God in all that you do. God made the things, the law and regulations, the animals, the human being, but none of them will exist without Him. I myself can sometimes get so intangled with the things of God that I sometimes forget the God of all these things. Remember when did the law came? Why wasn't there law before that time? When Kain killed Abel there was no written law, yet Kain knew that murder was wrong. How did he know?

I'm not trying to put you down here, but to build up. After all, that's what God wants from His children. To live in love and unity.

The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

FloatingAxe.

I just sense a loving simple spirit from you. not simple as in common, but... you know what I mean.

May you also follow in the footsteps of your Rabbi, our only Rabbi - Jesus Christ!

And may you find and keep in that place near God's heart.

May we edify each other in word and spirit that we may boast of each other before God.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderfully blessed encouragement! Thank you so much!

Jesus Christ is everything to me. I love Him and He loves me. Serving Him is where it's at! He gives much joy---it is an unquenchable fire!

Amen, Juan, amen...

Duh...your tongue-in-cheek was not serious, and so I won't answer that further.

Okay, then let's make it serious.

God has revealed to me that this passage is not doing away with the dietary laws at all - that we are still supposed to keep them.

So which one of us is right? One of us is claiming to listen to God, but only one of us really is. Which one is it?

Although I do not believe that Pauls dream meant anything other than what it explains, I do know that God reveals things to us through scripture.

For example, I may be struggling with a decision so I will turn to the Bible. I will read something that will strike me and answer my decision question. Now, I know that passage was not addressing my decision directly but rather indirectly.

I dont mean to be confusing so let me try it this way.

Lets say that I am contemplating on whether to take a different job or not and I ask God to help me know His will. Then I read this passage. 39. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Now, I know that this passage is not talking about my job delemma but it answers my question none the less.

Does that make sense?

You're trying to dodge the argument. You made the claim that God had revealed this truth to you. I'm making the same claim...so is Shiloh and Vickylynn...yet all of us disagree with you. So are you listening to God better or are we?

If you're going to say God told you the interpretation, you better be prepared to back it up. Stop accusing me and dodging the question.

The vision does speak to the issue of food, as it is stated that Peter was hungering, and God told Peter three times to eat of the animals. It is not a major emphasis, but neither is it NOT there.

No, the vision does not "speak to the issue" of food. Visions do not work that way.

You are trying derive a doctrine from a vision, and that is completely out of sync with how visions in the Bible are meant to be understood.

Again, You are having to supply the interpretation of abrogating dietary laws on your own with absolutely nothing from the Bible to substantiate that interpretation. Doesn't it bother you that you have no biblical support for that? Your "defense" amounts to, "It's right because so and so said so, and because I want to believe it, 'cause that is they way it was alwasy taught." You have to rely on sources outside the Bible to justify that interpretation. You cannot point to ONE verse that says, Peter's vision means that all unclean animals are now clean." You have nothing.

Again, it is nothing but a sacred cow. It is nothing more than a tradition.

I don't dodge anything, my dear. I told you all I would pray and meditate on it, and ask God to show me something about the passage in question. He showed me today the meaning of it. So, three people disagree with me. That is no majority, and does not mean you people have the market on truth in all things...whatsoever.

My passion is to teach the teachable. That is the Lord's passion as well.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
