Thanks SP!

Have just got back from the doctors. Have just been told that my medical condition is untreatable.

No need to tell anyone how I am feeling!

Well your Doctor doesn't know God, He's the GREAT Physician.............................!

Afal,

Good morning! What a blessing that we have each other, yes? I'm so glad that you are part of our Worthy family. :24:

How about if you share one wonderful thing about your life?

Tell us when you accepted Christ as your saviour, please.

Then God put someone in my path that I would fall in love with.

Forgive me if I have misunderstood you, but are you saying that by falling in love with a guy you no longer feel suicidal?

:)

No I mistyped that one. I eventually fell in love with this man. It was his friendship that began to bring me to a more controlable level. And I am not on medications anymore either. I do still have my difficult days. I would never try to say that I don't. But with Gods help I have been able to gain some control over those days. I still spend a lot of tired time and some days wonder how I am going to get out of bed. I always manage to take care of the kids no matter how I'm feeling. No it wasn't falling in love that brought the control, but it was really a nice plus. And how are you this morning my brother?

How old were you? I was saved in August when I was 8 years old. That'd be about the same time. :) We have almost the same Birthday! Praise the Lord! :21:

Hon, I wouldn't say I was glad you were here if I wasn't. I really mean it, you were a big help to me when I chose my haircut. I truly appreciate that. Even just the fact that you read the thread and responded means a lot to me! You are a friend to me and I care about you.

And how are you this morning my brother?

Okay...come clean Afal. Either you're a sister OR you have been sneekin' into the Ladies Lounge. :21::)

Now...let me be frank. I promise that I'm not just trying to flatter you. I've aleady stated my thoughts before.

What I really like about you is that kindness exudes from your posts. As a servant here, I see all kinds of threads and posts where people argue and debate over silly issues allowing those issues to divide them. They put on a front by presenting themselves to the world as in control, sure of themselves and unwavering in their position. Personally, I think they aren't honest with themselves...which is why I think they like to argue.

You, on the other hand, are very open about your struggle. You try to respond to every person who posts and aren't afraid to ask for clarification when they write something that you don't understand. I think your approach is refreshing and down to earth.

WHICH leads me to something I suggested earlier? Have you considered an avenue of service? Have you considered volunteering? I don't know what's available where you live but many hospitals have great programs, nursing homes or even soup kitchens. There is so many in need...and speaking from experience, serving others takes our minds off ourselves.

BOTTOM LINE: YOU have a lot to offer and there is a lot of work that needs to be done. :)

Well, all that I am willing to say on that one is that last time that I looked, I was DEFINITELY a lady!!!

;)

Thank you for the nice things that you say about my posting 'style'. I am what I am. However, thank you for bringing my attention to something that I don't easily see myself.

:noidea:

I do do some volunteer work. I didn't say about that before because I didn't want to 'sing my own praises' or appear to do that. Sometimes, it is only through helping others that I feel my life has any worth at all.

:noidea:

Bib! - If I tell you that, then everybody will know how OLD I am (and we don't want that to happen, do we?!). Suffice to say, I was more than 8!!!

Bib - I believe you when you say that you are glad that I am here! So am I! My problem is that I just can't imagine people being glad that I am here! This idea is so new to me!

Godslove26 - Thanks for the clarification!

:)

Thanks for all the replies. It has made my day a little brighter knowing that people DO care!!!!

Afal, the sun is shining outside my home today...I thought of you...

I looked over at my flower bed, which needs some weeding done, and in the middle of it was the most beautiful and fragrant red rose...I prayed for you.

There is this little bird, that when it was first beginning to fly landed on my front porch while I was sitting there. The momma bird was frantically telling the little bird to beware of humans. The little bird obeyed its momma, until it could fly better. It still comes to visit me when I am on my front porch. You see, the LORD is like this with us...I sat there patiently waiting for the little bird to move on, and didn't bother it, until it was able to fly away. It built up the relationship between us. The little bird knows that I will not harm it. I get tickled now when it comes bearing me gifts... :emot-hug: it leaves little bugs, and an occasional slug, on my porch...a peace offering. I'm so glad we don't have any outside cats, that would have devoured it..we used to have outside cats, they were all strays... but they have all found new homes. Praise the LORD! Everytime I see this little bird, I am reminded that if the LORD watches over these little birds, how much more HE loves us! :noidea: And I see HIM, in everything that surrounds me...more and more each day!

Don't give up on yourself...and look at the little things that the LORD is doing in your life. HE has put you here among Christians that love you and want only the best for you. It is a small thing, but it can be a big thing, when you see it through HIS EYES! HE loves you, girlee...don't forget that!

Sometimes, it is only through helping others that I feel my life has any worth at all.

Exactly!! :noidea: I work with inmates on Monday nights. Most Mondays, after a long day in the office, I have to push myself to get up out of my chair and go into the jail. I go with a "Jonah" attitude. :noidea: On the other hand, there has NOT been one time in the 7 years that I've been doing this that I came home dragging. Afterwards, I am always energized and feel blessed...so much so that I don't get to bed before midnight! I have come to realize that doing ministry work (or volunteer work) is more for us than for those we do it for.

By the way...it ain't braggin' to share what the Lord does through you. ...as long as we give the glory to God! :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
