Yes, Jesus does love me. I agree OC. That is probably the main reason why I haven't committed suicide and hence the only thing keeping me alive. :b:

Onetiggerroo - I am surprised that you think that I shouldn't tell my friends the diagnosis and prognosis. Ummm! I accept that they are not prepared to hear it but nobody can be. I would sooner just be honest with my friends. They have supported me since I became ill. It seems wrong to me to 'hold back' the truth from them.

Will reading the Bible really heal me? I sometimes get comfort from the Psalms when I read of people having the same emotions, fears etc as me, but I don't experience healing. Sometimes it just adds to the pain. My thought process is often that God 'came through' for David. Why isn't He 'coming through' for me? This just upsets me more as I then feel that I must be doing something wrong. Does that make sense to you? :P

I am already wondering how I am going to make it through today (and it is only 10am!). I feel very ill and just want to give up fighting. I prayed about this this morning and God gave me the verse "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Wow! I suppose this is called TOTAL dependency on God because I can't do it by myself at all.

:noidea::wub::wub:

Afal, I surprised you, by telling you to stop telling your friends; the negative thing the dr's have said? Please Afal, stop looking at what those dr's said, and start digging into the what the LORD says...your healing will only come when you submit to HIM...

I love and care about your well being. I appologise if I seem abrupt, but honey, you need to snap out of the I feel sorry for myself, routine, and start blessing yourself...the first blessing is that the LORD can heal you. HE will heal you, if you allow HIM to do that.:wub: Now, there is healing within the pages of your BIBLE. Doing a search for heal and healing...

The word: Heal

http://cf.blb.org/search/translationResult...on=KJV&sf=1

The word: Healing

http://cf.blb.org/search/translationResult...on=KJV&sf=4

You have to want to be healed, Afal...I believe you want that very much.

Afal, to be honest... I agree with Onetiggerroo. The more you say it, the more it will come to pass.

...and I share that with you based on personal experience.

I came across a Scripture from Exodus 15 yesterday that seems to fit...

22 Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water.

23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah.)

24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink?"

25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.

There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them.

26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water.

When you mediate on this, think about the context... where the Israelites were just a short time before this, what they witnessed during their Exodus from Egypt, what God had done for them, redeeming and freeing them from bondage and where they ended up... a place with 12 springs and seventy palms... in the middle of the desert!

Sure the journey was hard... but look at the blessings!

I'm praying for you Afal.

I also agree about healing. God can heal you but He won't do the work for you. Of course it might be a struggle to dig into His Word because satan will fight you every step of the way. Try finding Scriptures that deal with healing and begin to speak them out loud. Not only are you rebuking satan in the process but you're also girding up your own faith.

OK - a public apology to everybody. I thought that by being open and honest with you, it would help you to advise me on how to get through my present situation. That is all I wanted.

I am sorry if I have caused offence to anyone. I am genuinely sorry. I really was just looking for help and advice.

Thank you for all of your kind responses!

Afal, it is ok for you to be honest with us...and your emotions are raw. It is understandable. I am sorry if I offended you...Please reconsider the advice that has been given...it was not a judgement against you, only an observation on my part.

Hi Afal!

Looks like I've missed an awful lot since I've last visited this thread. There is no way anyone can feel exactly what you are feeling, Afal. But we can hear the pain you go thru. :24:

You've told us alot about your illness. Please tell us more about you as a "person". I'd love to get to know you better. I'm not asking you to share personal information. But could you talk about who you are? What is your favorite color? food? animal? Do you like to read, watch movies? Is there one you could watch a million times? (for me it's "Casablanca")

What makes you smile? cry? what takes your breath away? :noidea:

Do you just love thunder storms? or do they scare you to death? :)

Who are you, Afal? :24:

With love,

Fiosh

OK This is me being honest with you. I AM SO UPSET!

This evening I have had to make one of those awful phone calls to tell a friend of over 20 years that the doctors have said that my medical condition is untreatable. It had to be done over the phone as she lives about 4 hours drive away from me. I still have so many friends that I need to tell and yet every phone call leaves me so upset. There is no easy way to tell them. It is so painful.

I felt so sorry for my friend this evening as she just didn't know what to say to me. What could she say? Nothing (except a miracle) is going to change the doctors' diagnosis and prognosis. She knew that and I knew that.

I was in tears on the phone. I tried to be strong but didn't manage it. I am still in tears. The pain is raw. I want to scream but that won't help. This is when it becomes so hard for me. It is my own fault. I shouldn't have phoned in the evening when I am so vulnerable. It was a stupid thing to do and now I am paying the price for phoning at the wrong time.

I just want the pain to go away ...

I just want the pain to go forever ...

but it won't!

I feel so ill. I can't carry on like this!

I want to go back to speak to the doctor, but it almost seems pointless when they say that there is NOTHING that they can do for me.

I am SO tired of fighting this.

I need to go to bed as I am so tired. It has been a hard fight to survive today.

Please God, let me be able to sleep!

:noidea:

Does it help you to tell all your friends about your situation? I know sometimes it helps to talk about things; to talk them out so to speak. I am sure they all want to know what is going on with you. It's a shame that you can't send out one email giving everyone the general story and asking them to call you for details.

Our church has a chain email group. When someone needs prayer or something happens everyone in the church hears about it through emails so we can all pray!

I do agree with the others, please stop telling yourself that what the doctors said is the final word on it. Jesus has the final word on your health and life, not the doctors.

I don't know about the "name it and claim it" movement, but I do know the power of positive thinking. FAITH Jesus called it. "Your faith has made you well." Every time he healed someone that's what he said. Not your doctor made you well, or the pills made you well, or the water, it was their FAITH.

I have faith that Jesus Christ has something wonderful in store for you, and I want you to have faith in that as well.

Still praying for you. :) Don't give up, I need you here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
