Bible contradictions? I came across a list...

I'm not sure if I should read a book or go to a site that refutes & explains them, or just post the list here.

Anyone ever wonder about these sorts of lists?

Usually they are based on reading passages out of context, or trying to force scientific precision on statements that were not intended to be scientifically precise

Blessings Jeff and thanks for your honesty. All you need to ask yourself is," Do I truly believe and witness the Word of God?" If you find you are in this catagory, it would be better to take all these "so called" contradictions that the "evil one" is putting out there to confuse our troubled ones, and dispell them, or find the answers for them. You know Jeff, I don't ascribe to know or understand everything that God wants in HIS Book, but I do know what HE wants me to know. And those are the things that I believe HE wants me to share with others. Ususally, it will be the things that evolved from your own personal situations in life, one way or the other. And if you are interested in knowing more of what God has in store for us, merely pray on it and study those parts of the Bible that you feel interest you and God will give you the answers if HE feels it is in your best interest. Like Revelations for instance, I have very little interest, at this time in my life to study and learn more on Revelations. Others have a strong desire to know the "end times" or "future happenings."

Jeff, it is good to be curious of life and even God.. But get to know HIM as your personal friend and Saviour before you even begin to question HIM and HIS motives. It's enough for me to know that HE lives IN me and HE only wants what's good for me in life to and when I compare that to the wonderous experiences I've had in my life, I can truthfully say that I know GOD IS REAL ! If I only had to look back at my life and judge for myself what God has done in my life to make me whole and special to HIM and to others, I can't help feeling like I'm another miracles that God allowed change in to be an example of HIS Mighty Power! YOU CAN BE THE SAME, Jeff>

I don't think the point is that we don't "measure up" but rather that we try to fit infinite God into our finite minds.

I don't think many people expect God to measure up to our level of logic. But people know that when God deals with us, he will do it in a way that we reconize.
