"But are you saying God created some men with same-sex attraction?"

- Umm...when did I say that?

Did you not say or advocate or support the idea that some men are born homosexual?

So you're saying God couldn't possibly have created people with same-sex attraction because He forbid same-sex relation and in your interpretation of God's nature, He wouldn't do something that's seemingly contradictory.

So I get that you are saying God creates people with a forbidden desire? :noidea:

There are six verses that relate to homosexuality. Look them all up. :o

I asked for you to post them.

I never made the comparison, nor would I.

Disingenuous arguments don't further this debate.

I did not say that you have made such a comparison, but the comparison has been made by many on here.

"Did you not say or advocate or support the idea that some men are born homosexual?"

- I advocated the point that no one has proof as to what causes homosexuality.

"So I get that you are saying God creates people with a forbidden desire?"

- God doesn't create predilection for sin. That comes from the fall of man from Adam's original sin.

"I asked for you to post them."

- And I ask for you to look them up yourself. I realize you were trying to make a reply to the Bible verses, but if that's the case, then post them yourself.

Weren't you the first one to bring it up in this thread?

forrest, only if you intend to also copy/paste each comparison made to fornication, adultery, etc.

therein lies my point. you're singling out one thing that it is compared to instead of acknowledging that comparisons are made to all areas of sexual immorality.

chris, i think it was hepatocyte that made that accusation, although forrest does seem to support it.

Let me ask you guys this, if you had a son or daughter that was gay or lesbian, would you like your fellow Christians comparing them to Child Molesters?

nobody has done that. i suspected for several years that one of my daughters might prefer other females. turns out i was wrong, but nevertheless, i would have loved her unconditionally while still teaching her the biblical truth, even if i'd been right. and had she used any of the 'born that way' arguments, i'd have told her exactly what everyone has said in this thread. we're all born with a nature of sin, but homosexuality is no more genetic than adultery, promiscuity, or pedophilia.

1 Romans is the most specific scripture in my mind in dealing with homosexual urges and desires and the sin itself.

There are others however.

So, are you admitting that homosexuality is a sin? Would not sin be the cause, then? Scripturally?

"I asked for you to post them."

- And I ask for you to look them up yourself. I realize you were trying to make a reply to the Bible verses, but if that's the case, then post them yourself.

Look, Liver cell, I don't know what game you are playing here. But let me take you back.

"homosexuals claim they are born that way, that it's somehow genetic. it is not, and that is where the comparison lies."

- And you have proof? How do you know it's not due to prenatal hormonal influences or the interplay of BOTH genes and the environment? How do you know it doesn't have multiple causes?

Hepatocyte (I still get a kick out of your name, by the way  ) -

What do the Scriptures say about male-male and female-female sexual relationships?

You have contested that homosexuality is about prenatal hormones, genes and the environment.

So, I asked for you to present what the Scriptures have to say.

Is what you are saying here line up with what the Scripture says?

That is not true. The reason why homosexuals are under more attack than say thieves is because nobody is trying to make a thief out to be acceptable. We don't have churches catering to thieves, neither do we have churches catering to adulterers, slanderers, etc. We also don't afford special rights to other sins, like making it a hate crime to attack someone who is a cleptomaniac. We don't have adulterer pride parades and covetous days at Disney World. That is the difference. If homosexuals were simply people caught up in sin, and were not promoting their sin as being ok, normal, and even to be celebrated, you would see the attacks against them go down.

Shalom Butero,

Amen, amen, amen!

The reason homosexuality is the "squeaky wheel" is because they are in your face demanding to be accepted as same-sex marriage, same-sex parents, lobbying government, filing lawsuits of discrimination, teaching "alternate lifestyle choices" in public schools, creating gay TV shows where being gay is cute, funny and cool, accusing ANYONE a "homophobe" who stands up for the Biblical truth that homosexuality is a sin against G-d.

No homosexuality is not any more sin than another sin, but the other sinners don't have high-priced lawyers, lobby groups and demonstrations promoting their sin as "normal" and demanding that we agree.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
