I've listened to her dozens of time, my dislike for her "message" is from having heard her, not somebody elses opinion.

i went and checked out the youtube videos, and this Pastor Manning also said that Joyce had the devil in her. He said in another clip Creflo Dollar was a "PIMP", and the ladies in his congregation were "whores" . Then he said I was going to hell because I was in the Assemblies Of GOD in another Clip. among other people were going to hell were anybody taht believed in the baptism ofthe holy spirit. Yet he is a prophet, and says "THUS saith the LORD?"

ya know, i've been guilty of something and i'd like to confess.

i've had a very negative opinion of joyce meyer for years, because even though i'd never listened to her myself, i'd listened to what people here had to say about her... and i JUDGED her, accordingly.

last week i watched a video of one of her conferences, and i was BLESSED by it. and i LEARNED from it. the subject was control freaks.... either being a control freak and hurting those around you, or being such a wuss that you let yourself be a doormat for a control freak in your life. and the overall message she gave was to stand up and be a woman of God, and allow Him to be in control.

i wonder how many people buy into the gossip they hear on worthyboards about her, and develop a hateful attitude towards her because of it? i know i've been guilty. and yet even up until this moment, even as i type this out, it never occurred to me to repent for my attitude.

i think i'll go do that now. have a nice day, everyone.

He also said, in reference to wearing the clerical robes, "If you can get Bin Laden to take off his robe then I'll take off mine." Ummm, no thanks.

I think anyone that has ever so much as glanced at scripture can conclude that God does not lead nor bless the leaders of ministries with greed and materialism. Greed and materialism are sins, not blessings, not callings, they are sins. Jesus was not nailed to the cross for slick talking "evangelists" to live opulent lifestyles.

Her ministry spent $4 million from 1999 to 2003 on five homes for the Meyer family. The ministry pays for all utilities, maintenance and landscaping costs. Joyce and Dave live in a large, $2 million, 10,000 square-foot property with a large fountain, gazebo, private putting green, pool, poolhouse and an independently cooled garage. Meyer told the Post-Dispatch that with her being on the road most of the time, she doesn't have time to take care of maintenance issues herself. The Post-Dispatch retracted the statement that the ministries pay for all utilities and maintenance and landscaping costs.[3]

The Meyers bought several items in the early 21st century that are held by an irrevocable trust in order to guard against financial problems in the ministry. Among them are a $500,000 lakefront home on Lake of the Ozarks, a $107,000 Mercedes for Dave Meyer, and a $130,000 house for Joyce's parents.
