Why some Christians are evicted from Israel

Further to the news this week that Ron and Carol Cantrell are being evicted from Israel after 20 years of service in the Land, I just want to give my thoughts on why this happened and why it does not surprise me.

To me, the Cantrells are a perfect example of those spoken of in Isaiah 14:1:

The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.

The Cantrells bound themselves to Israel as Ruth did. They are among the foreign allies God promised He Himself would provide Israel with.

And that is why the enemy wants them gone. It is no coincidence that a whole range of New Age groups are allowed to brainwash Israeli children with messages contrary to the Bible, while people like the Cantrells are booted for alleged missionary activity. Satan wants Israel to be brainwashed with these humanist messages, while sidelining the very people God has put in place to prevent such a disaster by their witness to faithfulness of the Lord God of Israel.

Pray that God will uphold the Cantrells as He prepares them for whatever mission He has for them next, and pray that the Lord will put His shield around those of us Gentiles He has planted in this Land.

That is right. Isreal will bend the knee to the Lord but not before its time and that time is coming. Look for a new Jewish temple on the temple Mount. Then you will know the time is close.

It passed the first reading and was referred to committee where it never went further. There have been several subsequent attempts to pass similar bills and so far none have succeeded. In Israel, the law has to pass first reading and then go to committee where legal analysis determines if the law violates other laws. If it clears committee, it then returns to the Knesset for a second and third reading. It only becomes law when it has been approved three times plus the approval of the legal committee. The one law that passed and is active is the one making it a crime to bribe a child to become a Christian. In my opinion, that is actually a good law.

This topic started with the eviction of my friends the Cantrells. I got a call a few minutes ago from another family who have received the same eviction notice, yesterday. They have been told that they must leave now and that every day they delay is an offense. They have a legal right to stay in the country and the eviction is itself a crime. Thus, we see that there are evil people who are doing evil deeds where God intends to cause His glory to shine. I hope we can join in prayer that God's revelation of glory shines in Israel today, tomorrow and for eternity. The evil ones are fighting very hard now because the time is very short. The right answer is to pray for God's blessings, revelation and miracles to be seen in the streets of Jerusalem.
