You guys seem to love dodging the bible verses that i have put up. Are you not going to give me an explanation?

Also I have been focusing on Baptism so much because it is a topic of which everyone believes is not necessary. There is not point on me focusing on a topic of having to believe to be saved because everyone knows that you have to have to have that step to be saved.

So answer the bible verses and stop being so narky with your comments.

It is because your interpretation of these verses has gone out of hand.

I've seen this before - someone has all these verses to make the statement that to truly be saved you have to be in agreement on everything - and then he threw in that verse: "He who believes God hears us."

As if, to be saved, the way of his church was the only way.

Rule #1 of what makes for a cult.

Been there, done that!

I think I missed a page and did not see which church Nebuc 10 goes to. I am now caught up.

I hate to think of this going on in my beloved Australia.

I have been to Churches of Christ here in Adelaide and I can assure you not all of them are like the one Nebuc 10 is going to. The one I have been to is very much along the same lines as Baptist, Salvos, AOG....etc in our community and all the Pastors from these churches support one another, pray with one another and for one another, for the greater good of the community. Salvos do not believe Baptism is nessisary, however if someone in that congrigation is lead to do so they are free to be baptised in another church. The same goes for communion. Some churches have it weekly, some monthly some not even that often and I have know people to partake in communion in another church because that is what they have felt to do. I suppose like visiting relitives for a meal, cause aren't we related, aren't we brothers and sisters in Christ and no matter our small differences we are family and should share together.

Most definetly not all COC are the same.

I think God-Man or george himself needs to come into these threads and deal with this situation....maybe lock these threads up since they are getting nowhere cause you cannot have a one sided discussion...

Sounds good. I will gladly answer your questions.

So show me that doctrine does not matter and that it does not matter what church you go to.

This is a good idea. Thanx Blood Stained Soul :P

Sounds like you need to re-read the thread from the beginning. This was already discussed in the beginning of this thread....before you changed the flow of the thread to baptism.

It has already been said by just about everyone here that denominations don't matter.....church buildings don't matter. What matters is that whatever Church you DO go to teaches the WHOLE Word of GOD....not just bits and pieces. WE are the Church....buildings don't really matter....you can gather in a field and have Church right there.

As was said by my husband, Blood Stained Soul, people HAVE addressed your EVERY question....WITH Scripture. You refuse to acknowledge anything that goes against your teaching. That's fine....I guess. Just don't demand we refute what you say with Scripture when it's already been done.

The point of a Bible Study is not just to teach....it's to learn also. You seem to be trying to do all the teaching....yet no learning. Several people have tried to point out the errors of your teaching (with Scripture, might I add) and you don't want to hear it one bit. Why? Well, it seems that you think that you have been taught ) is the only right way. That's sad, dude.

You kept saying that you have absolutely no problem admitting you are wrong if we prove you wrong. It has been done over and over and over again. Yet, you are standing firm that your way is the only way.

You say you are very learned in the Bible....and I can see that you are. Where's the humility though? It seems pride is rearing it's ugly head. MY way is the ONLY way kind of stuff is prideful. You can think you know all the Scripture you want....but without the understanding of God of HIS Holy Word, what good is it? There are tons of people who are unsaved and don't believe in God or Jesus in this world...yet you know what? They know the Bible better than you and I put together. They are very learned in the Bible too. Yet they lack true understanding.

You keep telling us to prove you wrong. You keep saying to read the WHOLE Bible and not just take bits and pieces of the Scripture to make a doctrine....that is exactly what you are doing though....taking bits and pieces to form your doctrine. The Scriptures you are quoting, you are taking out of context....you aren't grasping the full understanding of them. You're just focusing in on those Scriptures only. Why? I would guess it's because they fit around your beliefs. Why don't you take your own advice and read the WHOLE text first. Then you'll understand that one Scripture better.

My advice to you....go back to these Scriptures that you have posted that are a huge part of your theology and read the whole chapter that they are in. Instead of us trying to prove you wrong (which we have again and again)....why don't you attempt to prove yourself right....or prove that WE are wrong.

I'm not saying we are anyone. We aren't. No offense, but you aren't either. When you have more than 5 people telling you that you are not accurate.....it just seems that would make you think a little and maybe re-examine your thinking concerning all of this.

Don't get so defensive. Believe it or not, we are here to help you. To guide you to a better understanding. We are not here to tear you down...we are here to help build you up. We see where you err and we would like to help you out. But you have to be willing to hear us. Quit refusing to hear us....quit being so stubborn, for lack of a better word.....conversations are not good if they are one-sided....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
