I don't know about healing spellsbut I would say there are a lot here that do lay hands on the sick and pray and see them healed. I don't know the exact scripture but I do know it is Biblical.

I don't want to go into the whole charismatics, penticostal thing cause it is on another thread and one I do not wish to go in to and ask. Those who have seenit will know why! I go to an AOG church in Australia which is penticostal and in no way a cult, but I always thought penticostal and charismatic were the same. Maybe it is different in America as I know thereare different churches all over. Can someone please just explain to me what the differences are, nicely.

Sorry I may come over a little thick, I'm just wanting to learn.

Thinks KJV needs to quit making up false statements...I can post enough scripture to keep you reading for hours about Divine healing in the NAME of Jesus....you know in Jesus time they said he used the prince of demons to heal people...and he told them to watch out cause they were blaspheming the Holy Ghost....start your reading in Isaiah 53 where it says by HIS stripes we are healed...then skip over to James Chapter 5...well here I will post James 5 for you...starting in verse 13:

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

SO WHERE IS THE WITCHCRAFT IN THAT?..I FOLLOW THE BIBLE...NOT WHAT I WANT TO...NOT PICK AND CHOOSING CAUSE IT DOES NOT AGREE WITH MY DOCTRINE...BUT THE WHOLE BIBLE!

You have yet to provide scripture...this is after all a Christian site....toss out scrpture to prove what your saying or else you have no point at all, just an opinion of what you do not understand or have not experienced.

Do not pay attention to KJV on this...she obviously has not done research but is coming froma denom doctrine that the gifts of Bible is not for today...besides that she made a comment in another thread about studying Wicca...I think she thinks that the pentacostal faith and wicca are the same since she accused me of witchcraft for praying a pray in Jesus name and asking Jesus to heal people....man I wish people would actually read the Bible for themselves and not with their denoms doctrines in mind...but with their own minds..

I have learned in my short walk that you have to be careful what you say is not of God's Kingdom....and who is not serving the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not up to us to judge. HE sits in the Judgement Seat...not us. We do have to test the fruits, yes...that's not the same as judging.

KJVTRUE: I have seen you post in several threads....asking if studying Wicca is okay if you're a Christian....you have accused people of telling Jesus Christ when to come back....and several other things that don't sound right at all.

Healing is witchcraft?? I'd be careful with that statement, dear Sister. Jesus Christ, afterall, DID heal people....and still does today. By your statement, you're calling my Lord and Savior...the one who died for me and YOU a witch.

I go to a Pentacostal Church...Church of God....but I am 100% Christian. I know people who have gone to Charasmatic Churches. We are not the same. They have some different beliefs...I'm not sure what all they are...I think one of them is that you can teach one to speak in tongues...though I don't want to get into all that. Just know that they are different.

this is the assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His WILL, He hears us.

Ang if we know that He hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of Him.

<>1 John 5:14, 15

Praying for someone with or without your hands laying on them is not a spell by any means. I think that when we start getting into our will is where we get into trouble. I know when I pray for someone is not a spell....I take my request right to the Father I am praying to no one or nothing else.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

My husband and I do not belong to any church therefore no

cult either, however we believe God has given us gifts. One of our friends will always pray for healing and it is certainly not witchcraft as I have been healed by his prayers to the Lordfor me.

Blessings

Glory.

Just curious...is there a reason why you do not attend a church? Not often I come across a Saint like that. Again just wondering is all...

Cult: Formal religious veneration. a religious system. a faddish devotion. This is the definition according to Websters dictionary. Now why are so many people quick to use this word to describe another belief when this term could be used to describe every religion in the world? It doesnt matter if you are a baptist or a buddist it can still be applied to every religion? Could it be that people use it to degrade others that they dont agree/understand or are they trying to hide their own beliefs that are not quite all there? By the way there are people who have a faddish devotion to various things ie sports, music etc. are they a cult too?

You bring up a good point or two in there. I believe that anything that leads you away from true relationship with Christ is a cult...I know I was a leader in one once...before I became a Christian...

The Laying on of hands has been practiced by christians since the time of Jesus. How does that make it a "spell"? Annointing with oil is another practice which is performed by many churches. That isn't considered casting spells either. KJV needs to get his facts correct before he post statements like that.

Personally I think that laying of hands and annointing are what Christ would do if he were around in person today. :t3: :t2: :dove :prayer :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
