So, we should just hand over the entire control and direction of our country to the experts?

Yes, we should. If you are an expert in a field, then your expert opinion in your field of expertise should carry more weight than the rants spouted off by some talk radio blowhard.

You try to set yourselves apart as a separate class of society that thinks they know more than anyone else and that they know what's best for this country.

I got news for you, conservatives, moderates, libertarians etc. have college/ivy league degrees too.

Yes, and the moderates, conservatives, libertarians and so on with professional degrees generally all agree with each other in the field of their expertise. For example, biologists universally hold the belief that all life descended from a common ancestry. They hold that belief regardless of their political ideology. Economists almost universally dismiss supply side economics regardless of their personal ideology. Climatologists almost universally accept Anthropogenic Global Warming regardless of their political ideology.

Thats the problem with you guys, you automatically assume that anyone that disagrees with you is a liberal when in fact, their just better informed as to the issue in question. Most economists are libertarian, yet they disagree with the notions of the hard right. Most foreign policy experts are moderate or conservative, yet they disagree with the policies of the Bush Administration. Most scientists are apolitical or libertarian, yet they almost universally disagree with the socially conservative right. This war against scientists and experts is simply nothing but arrogance on the part of the far right. I mean, one has to pretty arrogant to think that something has occurred to them that has not occurred to people who have devoted a life of study to the issue.

Most libertarians want the government out of our pocketbooks.

quote forrestkc: "Yes, we should. If you are an expert in a field, then your expert opinion in your field of expertise should carry more weight than the rants spouted off by some talk radio blowhard."

NO, . . .WE SHOULDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!

So, is Congress an expert when it comes to war? Are you an expert when it comes to war? So, then why would you disregard the expert opinion of a General, when it comes to war?

Why would you disregard the expert opinion of those opposed to AGW?

If I wanted my parents to raise me and continue to control my life, I wouldn't have joined the Service and travelled the world and I love my parents.

Why then, would I want anyone else to control my life for me. I have lived long enough to know what's best for me.

Socialism is one of the things that is not in my best interest. Anyone that promotes it, supports it, or tries to implement it, is no friend of mine and no one I wish to associate with, in fact, if I had it my way, all socialists would be sent back to the filthy cesspool where that idiotology emerged.

Yeah, and collectively those people are wrong. What is popular isn't always right, what is right, isn't always popular. My life and how I live it, will not be decided by a popularity contest.

I assume, since you're talking for these large groups of people, you have polls, quotes and other sources of information to substantiate your claim?

Which one? Evolution is a foundational law of biology. Anthropogenic Global Warming is the Scientific Consensus. And I don't know of a single supply side economics department of any university in America.

I'm not the one that made the claim. You claim "scientific consensus" on global warming, where there is none, and, in fact, many, many scientists deny anthropogenic global warming. Many well-educated scientists are still against macro-evolution. It was -your- claim above. Substantiate it.

AGW is experiencing many defectors and "traitors" and apostates in it's religion. It's hardly the concensus it once was 2 weeks ago.

Evolution. "We all came from pond scum." Hardly the type of creation best suited to Glorify the omnipotence of God, it can't think, see, smell, speak or hear.

If evolution is the natural process, why are humans the only creatures that can organize thoughts into words that every species can understand or even invent something as complicated as abstract thinking or quantum physics etc?

There is no truth in the animal kingdom, only reality, that's what inferior species face on a day to day basis. If you were to lie to an animal, it wouldn't understand the difference.

Only humans understand that concept and only humans willfully disregard it. That is divine programming from God.

Please provide on peer reviewed article or study that challenges it. In popular right wing mythology, its not a consensus, but in the scientific community, it is.

Because of 6 million years worth of evolution, thats why. Why would you think that no one in the scientific community has thought of that? I certainly believe that God is part of the process, but from a scientific perspective, we all evolved from a common ancestry.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
