That was a blessing to read, livingsacrifice.

<< the Lord said that we r held accountable for getting His Word out, but once we do tell someone bout it, then its there turn to fall through wit it. >>

Can you or someone else teach me the scriptural backing for this?  I want to stand in faith upon it.

Hey Sanctification,

I didn't see a response to your question so I figured I'd offer it up to you. I believe what's being referred to is found on Ezekiel -

Ezekiel 3:18-21

18 When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 19 But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

20 "Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. 21 But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself."

BTW, I've been to that board and snooped around a bit today. You've done a great job! I have been known from time to time to go into Yahoo live LDS chat rooms and take them on in real time....talk about having to know your stuff! Can be a great experience. Usually they all end up blocking me because they don't care to hear what I have to say. I intend to sign up over at that LDS Cafe' and help out...I happen to have studied the Mormons extensively and actually know much more of their doctrine than they do ( there's a reason for that ). I'll see ya there perhaps ( probable not under this name however ).

At any rate, keep up the great work...I have a special place in my heart for preaching the True Word to these people...don't know why, but I seem to have been called to study and subsequently preach their errors. I have a plethora of sites if you want them ( let me know ). One in particular is very good - I'll look it up for you - it shows the satanic pentagram on the Mormon Temple in SLC....pretty bold move for Satan to do, but in a society that denies the existence of Satan ( Western nations in general ), I guess he figured no one would notice.

Hey, PM or e-mail me if you want...be happy to share a few things with ya!

In His service,

Bob

For anyone who's interested, here's the link I mentioned earlier about all the occult symbols on and around the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City ( Click Here to view the pictures & see the web site ).

A real eye opener for the less learned on the Mormons ( LDS )

BobTriez,

Wow! I lOVE that passage in Ezekiel!!!!!

Also, thank you so much for saying "BTW, I've been to that board and snooped around a bit today. You've done a great job!" That really made me feel good, because I haven't yet received any feedback about what I have preached in their midst, from a fellow believer. It encouraged me!!!!!!

I have visited Temple Square. I saw the buildings, and I too was ASTOUNDED at the boldness of Satan to show off his self in idol and symbol worship as engraved and sculpted at that site!! I would love to learn more about the doctrines of their church, although I can't think of any specific one....

That is my weak-point, I guess. I can distinguish our God from the little I hear about what they believe, but I can't dismantle what I haven't heard. It sounds like you have learned a lot about their doctrine, and it would be useful for you to talk to them, if you are so led, and it sounds like you are! How awesome!

God is so faithful!!!

Brothers and Sisters,

If you are reading along at that website, let me say one thing I believe God has made clear to me:

These LDS individuals who respond here are very well trained to have an answer for everything. And on a personal level, they are FED through the arguments and debates, I (in the past), and others potentially, that are brought to them.

Does anyone agree that there is a point where debate is fun for us, yet we ought to lay it down so that we might get at the heart of the issue? What is the message Jesus would preach to the LDS if today was the last day???

While even I don't live up to this standard, I hope I can communicate a bit of the impression God has given me as a goal. My mission in their presence is to maintain a friendship with them even when they throw it away. And, most importantly, I preach invitations to try Jesus by faith alone, and I share testimonies from my everyday life of how God moves among us through a salvation-by-faith-alone means.

I hope I don't come across as superior, because I am not anything good at all, unless God has given it to me.

There is one LDS individual who has told me that he wants me to leave the site now. Why? Because other newbie-to-the-site Christians have come along and fed their need to argue the scriptures. To argue about the security of their doctrine. And as long as their doctrine is treated like something debatable, their sense of spiritual security goes up.

Is anyone catching my drift? I think they want me to go away because they know how damaging it is for me to say on their own website "I said a prayer for finances last week and through faith alone received a promise for $40,000 coming next month!" What worldly-minded LDS individual would be so hard-hearted to not take a chance to pray like Rom 10 asks us?

I will pray for myself too when I ask you to prayerfully consider the things I have said from the heart. Maybe I haven't been fully informed or maybe God wants to save some through debating. I'll just keep praying about it and hopefully we can all come to a unified perspective about it.

The idea I keep having in my head, is that God would be pleased if we would share our testimonies--in fact, we would bless the LDS more through our testimonies than through our discussion of scripture. Everybody hungers for God. To even touch his garment. I don't know, maybe I am speaking naive-ly... why don't you tell me what you all think?

Mscoville has already gone to town there at the site. How awesome! His nick is "fmcowboy" just so you can recognize him.

Hey, thanks once again mscoville, I think what you are doing is so great.

BTW, I think they changed the name of their forum from "LDS Cafe" to "LDS Digital." So if you do a search you'd want to know this.

I visited this site. I am very intrigued. I studied the Mormons a little in seminary, but I am trying to figure out their doctrines or statement of belief. Can anyone help. I can't believe what I have read so far. I actually went to several sites that were for and against Joseph Smith. I think I remember hearing when I was younger that he was a habitual liar? Is there any truth to it? I went to one particular site that showed all of the influences that Joseph Smith had been subjected to and how LDS has parts of each of these sects as part of their belief system.

The most scary thing for me is I read that they believe they will be like God. They beleive that God was a man and that is how he knows what life is like. They believe there are different levels of heaven and that Joseph Smith was a prophet.

And interesting tidbit of info, I read that the "scribe" who transcribed Joseph's revelations, was his distant cousin and later left Joe's church. As did his own son.

Out of more than sixty prophesies that he prophesized I read that only 5 or six came true which does not hold up to God's test given in Isaiah, to tell if a prophet is true or not.

HELP ME, any one know if I am way off base. I am gonna go read some more about it.

You really want to look at what they say, well if you want to, try www.lds.org, or www.lds.com, or www.mormon.com, or org.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
