Not Christmas like most years, but New Year?

My wife and her twin brother were born on Christmas day and their birthday seems to get lost in all the Christmas day activities, though we do our best to make sure of something special for them. About living in 'the boonies', for our first baby we drove 1,000 km to Darwin, the nearest proper hospital for the birth. But we gave ourselves plenty of time and didn't wait for the birth pains to start. A very happy and joyful Christmas to you all.

A bummer thing to have your birthday and christmas the same day......almost like not having a birthday at all. I've been acquainted with three or four people that have a birthday on Dec. 25 and they all said it was not a good thing, especially in one's younger days. She'll be 22 this year. We have basically always divided the day. From the time we get up until Christmas dinner, which is usually around 1:PM, it is "Christmas" with all it;s doings. Then from dessert on, it is Angela's birthday. Friends and family come over to have cake and watch her open her presents. Everyone has always been careful to separate the two and she has never resented her day. Though when she was little, she used to talk about her "Birthday Tree."
