The British Mandate of 1921 had already been abandoned by the British government the following year as can be seen in the White Paper of 1922. British oil interests in the region were far more important to the British empire. By the late 1930s, Jewish immigration had been severely restricted while Arab immigration had was untouched. This was due to growing Arab opposition to the formation of a Jewish nation. The British did little during the Mandate period to enable the creation of a Jewish nation as per the Mandate. Instead the British closed the gates to Jewish immigration and this consigned millions of Jews to death in the extermination camps of the Nazis.

I think we are all missing the frightening point of the whole situation. We have a city in a subordinate state of the Union, trying to exercise authority over the federal government. They are out of line, even if 100% of the Vermontians wanted this, they'd be 100% wrong. They have no Jurisdiction over the federal government.

When a local government tries to exert authority over the federal government that is treasonous. If they have a problem with the President, they should cede from the union and become a sovereign nation before they can claim to have any jurisdiction over the Presidency in their territory.

This is infantile, childish, and arrogant on their part to think they have that authority. This is not dissent, this is derision, and sedition.

Justin you're twisting things. This is not the way it is at all. It is about two individuals (who happen to be EMPLOYEES OF THE PEOPLE) who might have committed a criminal act (i.e. violating the constitution - after all where is their mandate to do this?) And some declaring that they are above the law.

All this comes down to "the will of the people". No artificial law made since the declaration of independence that would seem to trump the constitution, matter.

It can be argued that they had bound themselves together by an oath, which leaves neither party the right to break it (similiar to a divorce). However, the framers of the declaration of independence certainly made a strong case for the right of a people to dissolve political bonds from others....

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

So, if the declaration of independence was right, then the federal government was probably wrong to force the south to remain in the union. Still, I'm glad the south is in the union today.

I am not twisting things. There's a little community that thinks it has the authority to charge the President with high crimes, but it does not. Only Congress can impeach a sitting President and his staff with high crimes, that's in the US Constitution. All states are subordinate to the Union, likewise, all counties/cities/towns/villages are subordinate to their state.

There's already a system in place that administers justice in the event that high crimes are suspected from the Executive Branch. This little community's opinion is worthless. Have they done a thorough investigation, do they have proof the President committed a high crime? Well, if Congress can't even find enough evidence to even suggest an impeachment, what makes this little, unknown and unimportant community think they have a case?

I've had my say, what they want to do is unconstitutional and should be considered as subversive.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
