I had a similar problem earlier this year with another family member and prayer in a small group with some really committed friends turned the whole situation around! I agree that supportive friends and prayer is important. Consider also that this probably isn't about you, that she would have acted this way toward anyone marrying her son. Probably a spirit of jealousy. Fear of abandonment? I disagree about leaving your husband out of it. You need to withdraw and let him be the head of the house. His mother can lose him if she continues to persecute you. He is your covering so let him cover you here.

Mamma's not ready to cut the apron strings and she sees you as better than her or she is plane jealous. My brother did the proper leave/cleave with his wife and they are so blessed, He still makes time for us, but she comes 1st. I tend to be close to my mother as just like my sis-in-law. What works for me when I know I'm going to be around these types, spend some time with the Lord prior and pray over the situation. Pray that you will have favor with her and that He (Jesus) would help her understand you more. Give it time, God will correct her if she listens to Him. Pray for your husband, He needs it. Just take her as she is, forgive her and walk in Love.
