What significance does the changing of the v to b have? Guess I missed something,

Well, I find Is. 18 very interesting:

v3 All inhabitants of the world and dwellers on the earth: When he lifts up a banner on the mountains, you see it; And when he blows a trumpet, you hear it. For so the Lord said to me, "I will take My rest, and I will look from My dwelling place like clear heat in sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest." For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripining in the flower, He will both cut off the sproigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches,......v7 in that time a present will be brought to the Lord of hosts........

Reading the surrounding verses, in context, I see the rapture of the church and the People of God provoked to jealousy and repenting and crying out to God. Whatayathink?

When you say surrounding verses, are you talking about Is. 17 and 19? Is. 17 is talking about the destruction of Damascus, and Is 19 is talking about God judging Egypt but eventally showing favor to Egypt and Assyria. Perhaps you are seeing something I am not.

Can you be more specific about which verses you are referring to? I think it would be interesting. ;)

I'm sorry Shiloh, I was on the wrong reference, I was thinking of Psalms 60 and also 20:1-9 is interesting. Think I'll do a word study on banner and see what turns up.

All the months require the new moon to be sighted to start. The moment the fist sliver or light the month starts. Just as once three stars are visable in the sky the Shabbat starts.

According to my math, the Hebrew year 2000 would come during our 2004 LEAP YEAR.

How do you figure that out?

A question, a little off topic, but perhaps wordsower or someone can enlighten me:

The Jews are now in the year 5764 (civil), counting from the creation of Adam.

Usher's chronology places us about 6000 years since creation.

Both chronologies claim they are using the ages given in the Bible for their numbers.

How come the difference?

This is not an argument, I just want to know why so great a difference.

Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
