Only that Republicans tend to value higher moral standards, and supporting just restrictions on abortions goes against the grain of many in the liberal camp, even if one's stance isn't complete elimination on abortion (that's trying to explain, not excuse).

Pro-war, against Health care for Children of the Working Poor, anti-environment, ant-labor, and so on and so forth, yeah they sure have the moral high ground. :)

And sometimes when I hear people of liberal persuasion condemning Rush for his failed marriages, pain killer addiction (after having had a friend who was addicted to pain killers I have a new understanding of the situation, BTW), giving credence or honoring certain speakers one personally had a problem with, etc. - I see this is attempts to turn us Conservatives against ourselves. If we turn against our own Voices and Warriors because they don't have "perfect" views or a "perfect" lifestyle, what will we become other than political Pharisees and ineffective dweebs. (Perhaps, that is the reason for such attacks? Think about it!)

No one condemns Rush specifically for his failed marriages or for dope addiction. Don't you get it? Its the hypocrisy of it. This is a guy that has made an entire career out of the running down those he disagrees with and exploiting their personal failures. Yet he was a horrible husband, burns through wives right and left, weaseled his way out of serving his country in Vietnam, and was a dope addict himself. Its the hypocrisy thats the problem.

I guess the 5% of the country that listens to his radio program don't get that, but the other 95% of us do.

Do you think that you can be a tad more judgemental?

Seriously, how do you know that he was a terrible husband? Am I missing some vital information, were you married to the guy? Maybe his wives cheated on him or just married him for his money. Maybe he couldnt father children and they couldnt handle that. As far as you degrading him on a serious problem with pain, that is heartless. He was addicted to prescription pain medication. Do you know the kind of pain he was in? Excruciating, from what I hear.

He did not "weasel" his way out of vietnam. He had a legitimate medical reason for not going. Well, at least the government thought so. The only hypocrites that I see are the ones who claim their Christianity but yet are for killing innocent babies in the womb.

Do you think that you can be a tad more judgemental?

I am simply being observant and commenting on his actions. Whether he is a Christian or not is something known only to him and God.

Seriously, how do you know that he was a terrible husband? Am I missing some vital information, were you married to the guy? Maybe his wives cheated on him or just married him for his money. Maybe he couldnt father children and they couldnt handle that.

He was married three times, all ended in divorce. None of them were amicable either. If you burn threw 3 wives, there is something wrong with you as a husband. Even Bill Clinton managed to stay married.

As far as you degrading him on a serious problem with pain, that is heartless. He was addicted to prescription pain medication. Do you know the kind of pain he was in? Excruciating, from what I hear.

So excruciating he was eating 30 or more hillbilly heroines a day.

He did not "weasel" his way out of vietnam. He had a legitimate medical reason for not going.

Yeah, a cyst. Had he wanted to serve he could just had them drain the thing and he would went. He indeed weaseled his way out of service.

Well, at least the government thought so.

So when the government highly decorated John Kerry for his service, were they right as well? I guess so. I guess those Swift Boaters were liars.

The only hypocrites that I see are the ones who claim their Christianity but yet are for killing innocent babies in the womb.

Check your eyes for 2x4's before looking for splinters in others.

I am not questioning his faith. I am saying that here is a guy that bashes the personal failings of others for a living (including Drug Addicts and people who have had problems in their marriages), yet he has had 3 divorces, has been a junkie, and weaseled his way out of service. So the guy is a hypocrite.

If you want to run down others with marital problems, then don't burn threw 3 wives yourself.

If you want to trash the service of others, then don't weasel your way out of serving your county in the war they actually served in.

If you want to make fun of drug addicts, then you had better not be a junkie yourself.

If that is not hypocrisy then what is?

Do you call into Limbaugh's program when he is bashing anyone with a D after their name and say "Rush you should not be judgmental"? Somehow I doubt you do.

The thing is guys he is laughing all the way to the bank while we argue about him.

I don't think he really cares, he has an act and it sells. I don't think we should take him more seriously than he takes himself, I don't really get having strong negative or strong positive feelings about him. To me it is like professional wrestling. I remember when I was a kid I was at the Minneapolis airport and I saw these three wrestlers together outside of their costumes and they were just the best of friends you could tell, I was devastated as they were mortal enemies in wrestling. We should not take any of these talk radio guys to seriously, including Rush Limbaugh.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
