United States Economy: do you believe it is doing good or bad? Explain.

How do you see the economy for the US?

I am not really sure about it myself, I have to go between a good/bad decision - there have been a lot of foreclosure homes in my area, and many business chains are going out-of-business. My grandfather says it is doing good - how? I do not know. My grandmother agrees it is not looking so up-to-par, and with the recent all-time lows in the Stock Market...who knows what may happen?

Any ideas or examples? I am curious to know.

Our economy, like all countries', is cyclical. There's no way it can be on a roll all the time. I think the economy is basically sound and that we are in a correction phase.

I used to be a financial consultant in the 80's in Italy working with BIG international financial groups...

I have seen personally several ups and downs of the markets...( I am 59 )

One thing I can tell you in total honesty...

"the markets are manipulated by the groups of power ( Banks,Insurance and Financial groups..THE VATICAN, and they sell suddenly ...they send the index down abruptly and then start buying all over again at discounted prices making ENOURMOUS PROFITS,not caring a bit that doing that RUIN the people that have been trying to save and invest for a rainy day or retirement.

Those ravenous monsters determine WARS and FAMINES and FINANCIAL CRISES in THE STOCK markets as well in THE REAL ESTATE and are a CURSED generation,wicked an perverse,servants of satan,GREEDY beyond imagination.

Their MOTTO is :"MORS TUA,VITA MEA...HOMO HOMINI LUPUS"=YOUR DEATH,MY LIFE,and EVERY MAN IS A WOLF to HIS OWN FELLOW MAN.

the god of this world ( satan,the adversary,the devil and his minions) are CLEARLY behind the POLITICAL,RELIGIOUS and MILITARY powers and his intent is to destroy humanity,expecially the believers,and to create a NEW WORLD ORDER where his ANTICHRIST and FALSE PROPHET will rule in total control and deceit.

BUT,we have FAITH and SURE HOPE...The Lord PROTECTS HIS people and HE will see us thru NOT MATTER WHAT...and one day ( soon I pray) HIS CHRIST,THE LORD JESUS,IS COMING BACK to TAKE HIS PEOPLE and THE KINGDOM will be of THE LORD and HE WILL DESTROY all the WORKERS of INIQUITY that oppress the orphans and the widows and preach the false PROSPERITY GOSPEL and are WORLDLY MINDED..."

The markets will continue to go UP and DOWN and the RICH will get RICHER and THE POOR will get poorer...UNTIL THE GOD OF GLORY WILL COME BACK and FINALLY REIGN with JUSTICE and IN RIGHTEOUSNESS and ESTABLISH HIS RIGHT and PERFECT RULE....

Until then,lets WATCH and PRAY and EVANGELIZE preaching THE TRUE PURE POWERFUL GOSPEL of JESUS leaving the results to HIM and staying close to THE LORD and MASTER...

it is Dead...going nowhere in spite of all that will be said...I do not believe them....We are going deeper into debt and it appears we are being helped from drowning when we have been buried and gone a long time ago...sorry guys for the lack of optimism. patricia1

The economy was probably due for this in part because these things tend to run in a cycle. Things are up for awhile, then things go down in a correction as someone else posted.

There is a difference this time around though: the housing crash. For years we saw all the ads on TV screaming "Refi now", etc. Now the "chickens have come home to roost" in the form of all those sub-prime mortgages going belly up because shady lenders were doing anything they could to push mortgages that many people could not really afford. They pumped things up for awhile, but now after the sowing comes the "harvest" and many people are going to be hurt by this. A recession is no surprise when you consider that many banks have lost millions in the mortgage mess. Now the effect is rippling out to other parts of the economy. We also don't have as many good paying manufacturing jobs as we used to because those have gone to China and elsewhere, so more people are struggling already.

The good news: God is still in control, so I'm going to follow Jesus through this.
