In a comment about the blind leading the blind, Christ said "Let them alone".

If we had a responsibility toward other believers, He never would have said "let them be".

We are told to help one another, but as far as being responsible for their lives...I don't think so.

The question man would have probably been better stated by asking, "are we responsible to one another?" istead of "are we responsible for one another?" You are right everyone has to answer for themselves before their Creator. But, the question is it everyone for themselves or do I owe any of my energy toward the well being of others?

I think so.

Christ said "Love your neighbor as yourself".

Basically, treat people the way you want to be treated.

I always try to put myself in the other persons position. If I was them, what would make me happy?

Sometimes it's nothing more then a pat on the back or the acknowledgement that they're a human being. That I'm no better then they are.

Every situation is different.

Yeah there are times when I'm nothing more then a door mat and I do get taken advantage of sometimes...but I don't care. If I've done my best and I can put a smile on someone elses face...I can go to bed happy...and I usually do.
