Also, ever notice when news about the President or anything in governmet is reported it is provided by "official sources?" Official sources...news releases by people in the government which are reported verbatim without any investigation done into it's validity.

As Americans, 'we' simply expresses those of our nation. It is not IMO meant as something personal.

In the church(s), would you agree that 'we' regrettably have those who give the church a bad name/reputation? This does not mean that it is necessarily you or I, just those who are associated with 'our' organization/church/nation/etc. etc..

I am sympathetic that you are hurt by a misunderstanding. I have not called you out personally when refering to "we." But to our government, as Katy Ann has read into correctly. The first amendment gives us all the right to freedom of speech, press, religion and to peacable assemble in protest. By your comments, I am led to believe that you find it unamerican to speak thoughts and feelings freely if it protests our governments' choices. This is what I'm talking about with our media and its propoganda. Shaping and influencing our thoughts and opinions. That everyday, well meaning, sincere people believe that it is unpatriotic to speak freely about such thoughts (opinions, beliefs) and tell them to just get out of the country if they protest our warmongering ways. How does a nation of "free" peoples get to such a point? Media, education and a lack of knowledge. This is not freedom you promote with your commentary, but fascism.

People who say stuff like what is being said above are full of crap. I'm not saying anything about taking away our freedoms. I am simply saying that I am offended whenever "our country" is insulted, denegraded, disrespected or degraded. America has sacrificed it's men and it's treasure to help and defend every country on this planet. People didn't seem to have a problem with "us" then.

Again I tell everyone that I am a proud American. Americans, say what you want, do what you want, but please, don't talk the crap that some are talking when it comes to the "? motherland?" as it has so snidely been called. (See, I'm not talking to anyone in particular.) It's time for me to walk away from this "conversation" before I willingly sin. Praise the Lord!! YFIC (your friend in Christ)
