We had 4 people MIA at church yesterday with the "stomach flu." If ever there was a good reason to NOT get the flu shot, this is it. I swear, the only getting the flu shot guarantees is that you'll get the flu!

Actually, if it infects the stomach it isn't the flu. Influenza infects the respiratory system. Stomach problems are most likely bacterial in origin.

That being said - what you said is why I never get a flu shot. The way vaccines work is to "infect" you with a dosage that is meant to build up your immune system, but it can also make you sick.

When I get sick, my rheumatoid arthritis flares up. To me, it isn't worth the risk of a potential flu trigger.

My kids are going a second go 'round with this stuff, I relaxed a little after the first bout, thinking (wrongly I guess) that ok we've had it...we're done with sick....

High temps, coughing, sneezing, stuffy noses...its some yucky stuff...

Sadly, I hate to do this, but when you can't break the fever I've given tylenol, then a couple of hours later motrin...just to get it down to 100...I had to do this two days with Nick...and now we're on the second day with Alexandra....

I do the Tylenol, Motrin thing with my kids all the time too, so they can sleep.

My daughter is allergic to liquid Ibuprofin. That rules out Motrin, or Advil. She actually got that Multi- Forma stuff a few years back. She was in the Hospital for days and risked sever scarring. However, Our Lord is awsome and she escaped by His Hand and remains a beauty. That Multi-Forma stuff is bad news, it has actually killed chidlren. The same week my daughter got it a child in Califironia died. It's an allergic reaction that scars and blisters the hands, face, and throat, as well as, internal organs. It can cause blindness too.

I don't do the Flu Shots either. Everytime I ever did, I still got the Flu. I think it's a placebo.

I do not like vaccines. Vaccines are made by brilliant idiots. Most of the flu vaccines contain a preservative called Ethyl Mercury. This being a hideous toxin that is now considered the primary or even the sole cause of Alzheimer's disease and Autism. Lingering viral loads from vaccines occur on a regular basis because sometimes the immune system can't deal with the infection, leaving the injectee with a lifelong relationship that never goes away. For instance, the Polio vaccines. Before the Salk and Sabin vaccines, we had three varieties of the virus, now we have 72. MS, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ALS, and Fibromyalgia are suspected of being caused by a mutated but active strain of the Polio virus administered by a vaccine. There are some who believe that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is caused by vaccines, and not stressful situations.
