it is an all about ME thing.

Right on. I think that all visions and special insights are unique to those who are blessed enough to be singled out and humble enough to accept what is being shown as personally applying to them. However much it is possible, and it always is, to take the message and apply it to others, that is only an escape from accepting the message as personally given and personally intended.

You have been shown something that is special and personal between God and you. Isn't it fantastic that your Heavenly Father loves you so much that he has taken you aside from the crowd and spoken to you personally.

You are very blessed.

though I agree that when given such a blessed gift as a word from the Lord is meant for my personal growth, I would be remiss to believe that something such as what I was told was only for my benefit...as the words spoken talked to me and to many, was about me and about many and applied to me and to many. So I cannot believe that something spoken with a wide range of implication is something that is simply personal and to be kept between me and God......and if it was intended simply for my benefit, I can't imagine leaving my brothers and sisters out of such a profound statement that can benefit the entire church community.

When I say that it is a ME thing...I mean that we being the self centered beings we are make nearly everything a ME thing....

I don't want us to veer away from this topic and turn it into what it is not, and yet with pondering the verses that I included esp Heb 5:12& 13, Heb 6:1&2 suggests softly to us all that as many of us who are no longer babes in Christ...perhaps we should move forward and beyond Christ crucified and concentrate on Christ resurrected and we with Him.

I must wholeheartedly agree with you Jackie.

Including myself, many of us with 'christianity' have become dull of hearing. Here we are, and while I know there are always 'newborns' into the kingdom and such discussions will ever be necessary. I witness [and partake in] so many debates amoung those of us old enough in Christ Jesus that should be elementary to us by now. Here we are, nearly 2000 years later and we are still in need [not all of us] of being instructed in the elementary principles of our faith. I have seen this for many many years now and have at times been *deeply* saddened by it. And yet, I am as guilty as anyone else, if not more so.

Now Paul never suggests to any of us that we forget what He has done for us, neither do I. We must all make sure we remember from where we came, as Paul's examples continually speak. But our predecessor Paul, also continued forward from the cross to the resurrection and beyond to the ascension. As Paul's writings make clear through out, we have a higher calling as the priesthood, and the invitation of Him to learn of the deeper matters leaving the basic foundation in its place but not to return to them, as we then take on the characteristics of babes, who are dull of hearing and must be coddled and nurtured once again...

I fully agree Jackie. To forget from whence we came would indeed set us up for a fall. We would begin to think more highly of *ourselves* than we ought, thus taking our focus from where it should be, upon the Author and Perfecter of our faith, and placing it upon... us. Which is exactly within your vision: "but there are only a small portion or percentage who stick with the Truth and keep it about Him, the rest it is all about themselves..."

May be richly blessed as you have indeed blessed me Jackie,

Richard

I can only speak from my own perspective. However I am glad you shared this Jackie, for it has hit me. It has without doubt given me cause to pause and reflect upon things.

As Nebula shared, there is depth within it that can be several fold.

When I say that it is a ME thing...I mean that we being the self centered beings we are make nearly everything a ME thing....

Regrettably, sad but true.

Let us not put the blame on the ministers and pastors.

I concur Patricia, let us each step up to the plate.

What a great message! Very thought provoking. Makes me want to double-check what I hear at any church I go to.

Maybe it is because you have not acknowledged the "fullness of His Power" to overcome sin?

Suzanne, are you speaking directly to me, or when you say "you" is that a generalization?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
