charlie, my point was simple... to make sure you were aware of that little fact. from your previous post, i wasn't sure.

everybody lies. but when it comes to the premise of this war, which is what i thought we somehow managed to wind up talking about, the current white house administration did not lie.

nor did the previous one.

IT would appear to me that thanks to the press, TERRORISTS have won the Public Relations war - when a few can besmerch that something is seriously wrong in this Country. 99% of those fighting over there are fighting for the freedom of that country, building schools, freeing women to be a part of society, building hospitials, but because this is an election year and that media is SIDING with the Terrorists to get Bush out of office this is ignored. A new Anti-Bush Book every 2 1/2/ weeks, Ted Koppel with pictures of all the dead soldiers followed the next day by the USA Today, (sidekick of CNN) showing pictures and then local Gannet newspapers following the next day. Then someone claims it is NOT AN ORCHESTRATED Political attack on Bush. Any press that puts down our young women and men because of a few bad apples and any candidate that builds a campaign on the backs of the bad and dismisses the good that has been done is ANTI-AMERICAN. Punish the GUILTY - not the innocent that are working their guts out.

I voted for Bush, Yod. In fact I've always voted republican and I couldn't stand Bill Clinton. Both sides always try to use foul ups to their political advantage. Still, I'm sickened at those photographs. It was wrong. A woman taking part in such vile things has also upset me very much.

I'm not naive enough to believe that the CIA and FBI hasn't tortured people to get information. I think they do it to us Americans too, at times, but it's still not right AND I'm appalled that the typical run of the mill soldier "has this in him/her". Like I said back at the beginning. This generation is nothing like the WWII generation of Americans. I'm not gonna make excuses for perversion.

While the politicians will use this however they want the fact still remains that the politicians weren't actually on the spot doing the deed (whether they knew about it, ordered it or just condoned it we've yet to find out) it was average Americans. Somehow that is the most horrifying thing about this for me. But then, we live in an age of sex, drugs and serial killers. Guess you can't rely on people to be honorable and do right anymore.

Yup! Sure do!!! At least at all that has happened so far that is. If we find that physical torture and killing of "innocents" occurred, then I'll have to rethink that. Just like at first, I thought this was as some say an atrocity. But further examination proved different.

You're right, this isn't democrat vs. republican. It IS WAR!!!

We (believers) are called to set the example so I hope we will always be brothers....and I fight with my brothers more than anyone because I love them!

The difference is that America will prosecute our own people for them.

how many times have we seen the iraqi's or other arabs-terrorists say they would drive the infidals out "God Willing"

And yet we win a war, that militarily, ranks right up with some of Gods inspired victories of Joshua....I say this, yes, the Lord was Willing! Praise God...

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
