I don't know if it's liberalism so much as arrogance. :)

I don't think it has anything to do with political leanings at all. For a lot of these people it's the angry atheist syndrome. And then there are the stiff necked Christians. Both groups are very inflexible and try to pidgeon hole others. (Note your own comment, BP; 'very typical, me thinks'). This type of generalization is a good example and is the main reason why most of these threads end up closed, IMO.

It just appears that it is mostly done by 3 or 4 specific individuals who's political leanings are known and by non-believers who pop on for a short while and then leave (or get banned). But that is just my perception. :)

Actually, there are several Conservatives on this board that do the same thing. Everyone needs to give it up; it's boring.

The point is that the fact that our universe is suited to us fits equally well with Creationism and Atheism, so it isn't evidence for either side.

To me, creation is evidence of a Creator. To you, it's not. What's there to discuss? :th_praying:

It's really quite simple. Creation may be evidence of a Creator, but the suitability of our planet is not.

Yer starting to sound like "blah blah blah". Making a lot of noise but not saying anything. :20:

:20: Real mature. I've made my point clear.

Over and over again. It's still your opinion. :taped:

Some things are matters of opinion, others are matters of fact. Some things are matters of faith, others are matters of reason. This is the latter of both.

Your point is that Creation = Creator, but what I keep trying to tell you is that that is an entirely different and argument to whether or not the suitability of our universe invalidates atheism. The fact that the arguments are separate is not a matter of opinion.

Ok. You win.

Are you saying this because you can't and/or don't wish to expend the mental energy to understand what cache is saying and just want to be done with the conversation, or do you really admit to understanding and agree with cache?

I don't agree with him. I just don't like being nagged. :taped:

I know, right? People wanting you to think all the time. What's up with that? :20:

It's not that he doesn't want to think. He just doesn't want to waste his time arguing with you because he knows he has better things to do. He could talk to someone who listens, not to someone who closes his mind and refuses to think outside the box.

Trust me, I know enough of your theories, because I've been forceibly attacked with them for since I was in 8th grade, and I've given them their fair share of thought, and they just don't hold up to my questions, whereas creationism and the Bible do. I suggest opening your mind and looking at our perspectives as well as your own, even if you don't choose to beleive creationism, you'll most likely gain more respect for those of us that do. www.answersingenesis.com

Do you know what I think is kinda funny? So many scientists act like science and the Bible are bitter enemies, but in reality, they go hand in hand. Thermodynamics, geology, biology, astronomy, etc. They all support the Bible. Especially the last two. Biology show's how precise life is, and how complex it is. That's one source of varying viewpoint. When species are similar, evolutionists claim a common ancestor, while creationists claim a common designer. Astronomy shows just how precise our universe really is. It may seem like chaos, but it is acutally pretty systematic. This is where thermodynamics comes in. The second law of thermodynamics states that all things slowly move toward disorder. This can prove a younger universe, because if it is 6.5 billion years old, it would be a lot more chaotic.

I'd reccomend www.answersingenesis.com for further study of creation science if you're interested;)

But really, with all this science and ID verses evolution, we're losing sight of what really matters.....God! We focus so much on proving our point to the scientists who, most likely, will disregard everything we say. I'd say that it's time to focus on our faith and strengthening the faith of other Christians. We shouldn't focus on using science to convert atheists. We should focus on God's word. I've brought a few people over and I thank God for giving me the opportunity, but in those times, it wasn't science, but God and his word that convicted their hearts. So basically I'd like to get your opinions on this.

I agree. I did some work at the real Noah's Ark:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
