I'm going to quote from my man Charles Stanley. Satan likes to attack you when you're H.A.L.T.

Hungry

Angry

Lonely

Tired

Do any of these fit your circumstance?

I know you've been through a lot lately and didn't I tell you to watch out on another post because you are vulnerable to Satanic attack? Remember? (I worded it a little differently) I also said for you and Bradley to pray a lot and not to let Satan divide you. Anyway I half expected this but don't worry. Satan is doing his usual job of accusing the brethren and lieing but you are a child of God so Satan has no hold on you. Your posts are appreciated here, don't ever think you're useless. When you start to get those feelings, turn your thoughts toward the Lord immediately and pray.

in love

BPC,

Thanks for your post. You did indeed say that. Bradley and I did take your advice. Things are much better now. I have been feeling back in the swing of things, if you will. I appreciate everyone's kind words of encouragement and prayers.

It is true, I have been going through a lot lately... but praise God, I am His and I will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony!!! :D

Some things were out of my control, but some things were surface type things that I could control... So I did! The others (out of my control) I gave to God because He said to cast all of my cares upon Him... He is strong enough for all of us!

Thanks again for your post!

First things first......

I think you may have needed that.

Now, remember that it is when we are in the valley is when the mountain top times can truly be appreciated!!! We all go through this and it is nothing to be alarmed about, but I have to tell ya...I've read some of your posts and you do most definitely lift and edify others up!!!

When the enemy gets his foot in the door...slam the door! And while it isn't always the enemy that is the blame for things, we can start with that for good measure, lol!!! Get whatever may be the problem out of the way for starters!!! :D Seriously, though...you are just fine. You are being used in more ways than you know and realize. Let me share with you something to think about (like I'm some pillar of wisdom, lol, NOT!)...it is when we feel most numb and unused or useless that we are being the most used!!! That IS when the enemy puts his lousy 2 cents in...he wants to make you feel that way BECAUSE you are being used for God's glory! Think upon this and then sing your beautiful praises to Jesus and know that the Jesus in me loves the Jesus in you and I DO see and feel you being used by our Daddy and you are precious in His and all our sights!

Hang in there!!!!

Love to you through our Jesus!!!

ReflectionsofHim,

Awww! You are the sweetest! Thank you so much for your precious words! Thanks so much for the   as well. Right back at ya!

Spiffy analogies you have! I say, lets slam his (Satan's) toe in the door and then push him out... Give him something to remember not to come back for! :oww:

(like I'm some pillar of wisdom, lol, NOT!)

You are funny! You too are unaware of the "wisdom" that you share!

Thanks again for your post! I look forward to reading your others as well! Stay strong in Him, for He uses you to give strength to His children!

Hi everyone!

I am writting this because lately I have been feeling very discouraged. At times, I feel numb and useless. I don't really feel like I have anything to contribute to anyone. I think at those times (which are quite often lately) that if I am not being used (a blessing to others) what good am I.

Have any of you felt like this? :D

I have been going through a lot lately, but I don't feel like that is any excuse for emotionally shutting down.

I read posts here at WB, and wish that I had some insight to give that might help someone... but ... nothing comes. I have prayed about this, but I am not sure what it is exactly that is causing me to feel like this.

Even now, I feel blank ;) trying to explain how I am feeling. Any advice or prayers would be greatly appreciated. :D

YSIC,

Alison

Even at times when we have low periods in our life, God is still with us. It's like a growth period when you climb back out of your low time. God uses these time to condition us to become closer to Him.

Hi, Alison...I know the feeling. I went into a major "funk" when suddenly my health took a nose dive. It was real hard to go from doing missions and also being an elementary teacher to doing NOTHING.....

When you become ill, you're whole life seems to roll up in a ball and stop. I've had to really struggle alot with that.

I do try to be a friend to the friendless, encourage those who are sad and help with others in need....or just be a good listener.

Still, it's a far cry from the work I did in missions and also in teaching. I feel a bit frustrated....

But the Lord has His own timing in our lives and sometimes it seems that He "slows us down" for our own sakes. He's formulates a plan for our lives and sometimes along the way, He calls for us to just "wait on Him."

That's the time we begin to feel "useless" and worthless. I know; been there, done that.

Just wanted to say, you're not alone and I'm going through something very similar. I have a wonderful Christian brother who has continually lifted my spirits and encouraged me greatly during this difficult time....so I am trusting that this "holding pattern" is part of God's plan and I need to learn patience.

I'm merely writing this to let you know, I think you're probably in good company and many of us go through this "dry dessert" experience before we encounter an Oasis.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
